"Are you all set for your flight back to Ireland?" I asked Cassidy as I walked in. Her room was as neat as ever, but that wasn't unusual seeing as she slept either in my or Xavier's room. "Nearly. I just need to still pack a few things." she murmured, her back still facing me. I cringed.
"I'm sorry you have to leave, but we will be back together soon enough. You have the Faeries to tend to and I need to eradicate all of these groups. You know this is the right thing." I tried reasoning with her. She straightened her back and flipped her ever curly red hair over her shoulder. Not a good sign. "No, I don't. What I do know is that you are going to sit here alone with none of us to protect you when there is a chance they might come for you!" she roared and turned around. Her face was tear streaked and I couldn't help but to try and stroke the tears away. She pushed my hand back to me.
"I won't be alone, Abney will be here." I cooed, which sparked even more anger. "She couldn't kill a fucking fly even if she had a massive fly swatter! She is HUMAN!" Cassidy hissed the word, making me flinch. "I'm sorry... I saw no other way in which we could all contribute. We need to stop this, Caz." I whispered, taking a closer step to her. "I'm just so afraid they get you, all alone with no one to help." another tear slid down her face. "I'll be fine. I'm a dragon and besides, I have no weaknesses my previous generations had. One could say I am unkillable..." I answered back, with a wink.
We stood looking into each other's eyes for minutes, until I finally wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her with all the heat she made me feel. She was my Fae. The kiss didn't last as long as I hoped, but Cassidy seemed fine now, so I bode her a farewell and left for Raven.
"I've come to say my greetings..." I stood outside Raven's door, hoping she'd let me in. Of all the people who were hurt, she was the worst case. "Come in." she growled.
Her room was dark, as always, the curtains drawn. "I've come to say goodbye, Rava." I whispered. She shook her head. "You have no right to act all sad about this. You were the one who said we should all return to our countries." she muttered. "I know. For a good reason. You know we need to put am end to this supernatural slaughter. We should gather our people." I said, walking towards her, my palms up. Raven turned.
"You could have broadcasted it to all of them if you so wished, but you didn't. You just want time alone with Abney." hurt was clear as day in her voice. "Jealousy doesn't fit you, Rava. It brings out the green in your eyes. Now reflect on what you said..." I whispered back to her. She looked at me, her brown eyes pleading for her to stay. "You can't broadcast because the Light Jade might see or hear it, strengthening their numbers..." she hung her head and I craved to lift it and kiss her lips with all that was left in me.
"Yes, my Rava." I whispered and finally did what I wanted. Her lips was soft and sweet, coated with death and despair, as all necromancers lips were. "I'm going to miss you." she sobbed into my hair and I couldn't help but let a tear slip. "I will miss you more." I uttered. "All of you." I said finally, smoothing back her hair with my hand.
"May we meet soon again, rather on this plane than the next, my dragon." she said, turning her back to me again. I headed to the door slowly, getting one last lingering look at the first woman I ever loved, and left.
The rest of the day went by almost the same with everyone. They were all devastated at leaving, but knew it was necessary. Kisses were exchanged and hugs given. Adrian nearly cried and Xavier had to console him.
For now, we were split up. Until we meet again after all of this was over.

Abney stood at the edge of the garden, watching as Shaé finally left, the last of my lovers. She smiled and waved, as if her life depended on it. I could see movement in the car window, giving off the illusion that Shaé was actually waving back. Abney was a lucky girl.
I stood next to her, but she kept her gaze to the ground. "Why didn't you send me with one of them?" she enquired. "Because you would receive better training by my side, I am the oldest amongst them all. Wisest by far. After all, my specie was first among this world." I said, holding out my hand for her to take. She did.
"Why do you always wear black? I haven't seen you in any other colour but it." she kept asking questions. "It suits me, my soul and it slims my waist." I winked at her and kept walking to the indoor pool we had. "Where are we going to start with my training?" she asked again. "We will start where I feel necessary to start, but for now we are going to swim. Training will begin early tomorrow." I answered and dragged off two towels from the nearest towel rack.
"Where are our bathing suits?" Abney asked. "I am not using one. You may use one if you please." I motioned to the cupboard adjacent to the swimming pool. Abney blushed and scrambled to it. She dug out a bright red bikini with a crystal hanging from the middle of the breasts. She frowned.
"Not used to having swimsuits in a cupboard by the pool?" I asked, very curious. "Not at all. We don't even have a pool back home." she stated, spurring her shoulders. "Well that is truly sad." I said and walked to the edge, throwing my towel on a chair nearby. Abney stared at me.
I smirked on the inside.
First my shirt came off, then my shorts. I could hear her heart racing from a mile away. Then my bra went out the window and so did my panties. Abney kept staring. A laugh escaped my lips, causing Abney to blush and look away. I laughed again. With one smooth motion I dived in and swam to her feet on the ridge. She couldn't meet my gaze.
Straight my ass.
