Four.

My fingers shook as I pressed send. I decided to try and talk to Jackson over the internet. The moment after I pressed it, my cell phone was launched across the room out of fear for what would happen. I lied on my bed, waiting for the phone to make a noise, signaling that he replied. I lifted my head and peered over the large mound of pillows that provided extra warmth. The clock read 10:02pm and I thought I should go to sleep, but my mind would keep me awake.

It seemed like hours until I heard a ding. Jumping up and exploding the mountain of pillows all around the room. Not even touching my feet the floor, I fell out of my bed and rolled over to my phone. Picking it up and reading the notification my eyes widened. Jackson had replied.

The message I had sent him originally simply said hi with four dots following behind. He replied saying "heeeey katieee"

"What's up?"

"Nothing much just watching YouTube and stuff"

We talked to for ten more minutes and I wanted to talk longer but he said he had to sleep. Setting my phone down on the table, I slid across my bed near the wall. As I lay in the darkness, my heart fluttered with every thought. It was a wonderful feeling. My stomach was flipping and my heart was fluttering and it felt as if I could run 100,000 miles without running out of breath. It was as if he was the only person in the world that mattered. He wouldn't leave my mind, he was taking up everything. I couldn't process anything, I couldn't sleep, I couldn't move. Everything was about him. I just couldn't sleep without opening my eyes and daydreaming about what could happen if we were to be. I'm in love with him, but his arm is around another.
