Chapter 10: Sitting by the grass

CHAPTER 10: Sitting by the grass

"Would you take the honor of being my girlfriend?......"

There was again a long pause. Maybe she wasn't ready to hear the words that just came out from my mouth   I guess she was shocked when I told her that beause her mouth drops open forming an 'o'.

"Uhhmm..." Jade continues. I guess she doesn't feel the same way I feel for her. 

I stand up and made my way towards the exit of the auditorium, when a sudden person jumps on my back.

"Ofcourse! I'd love too!" Jade says whilst hugging me tight. I put her down so I could face her.

"You really do?" I ask excitedly.

"Yesss!" She replies same tune like mine. I couldn't believe what I just heard. I carried her and spin her around. She just chuckles the whole time I was carrying her.

"So... does this mean. We're official?" I ask her whilst putting her down. I am as red as clifford, crimson red, and all other things that are red.

"Yepp.. It's official!" She replies as she hugs me one last time. "This time, it's not a friendly hug" She continues. I responded to the hug and hugged her back.

"Even though you have a cemented arm, you stll manage to play the piano." I tell her with a smirk.

"hhmm.. yeah. I can't resist playing the piano." She replies as we leave the auditorim happily.

"Oh...Jade! Do you know what the date is today?" I ask her.

"Uhmm yeah... June 28. Why?" She replies confused.

"Well, I want you to remember this day as 'The Day you answered me' " I continue

*SKIP TO DISMISSAL*

"Should we tell Skylar?" Jade asks me. 

"I think we shouldn't tell him yet. Let's make him figure it out." I reply as I give her a smile. We left the school to find Skylar talking with some students. I think those were his friends before he left Ireland.

Skylar glances at us and tells his goodbyes to his friends. I put my left arm around Jade so it would look obvious. Skylar just gives a confused look and joins us. He brought his car with him. And yes, he drives.

We rode in his car then I stayed at the back together with Jade. We sat down really really close to each other so it would look even more obvious.

Skylar doesn't seem to get it. I know Skylar has feelings for Jade, and now, me and Jade are official without him knowing. He might just continue loving her until he realizes at the end that he has no chance for her. He's my best friend and I don't want him to be hurt.

I whispered to Jade that we might wanna tell Skylar about it by my flat.

"Hey Skylar! Wanna stay at my flat?" I ask as I glance over at Jade who just smiles at me.

"Uhhmm.. sure. Okay." He replies as he parks his car in front of my flat. We all greeted my mum headed to our patio.

"Skylar, me and Niall have something to tell you." Jade says whilst sitting in between of me and Skylar.

"What is that?" Skylar asks with a smile. Me nad Jade look at each other and gave one another a smile.

"We're together and it's official. She's my girlfriend now!" I tell Skylar cheerfully. But Skylar doesn't seem to be happy of what he just heard.
