CHAPTER 19: Back to normal

"Remember what?" He asks as if he doesn't know anything.

I wanted to look at his blue orbs but instead I repudiate because of what I feel.

"I'm going home..." I suggested as I slowly stand up and awkward silence surrounds the atmosphere. I had no choice but to make my way to Caitlyn's door.

"Wait Jade! I'm sorry..." Niall pleaded as I felt his hand's grip on my arm.

"Yeah, it's fine. I just have to go already..." I lied. I am feeling a little depresed so maybe it would be better if I would walk back home.

"Bye Caitlyn, Skylar and Niall..." I say as I twisted the cold metal door knob and left. Suddenly, I heard the door of Caitlyn opens once again. I did fast walking and take a turn on the left so I could hide from whoever is following me. I waited there for seconds as I see a blonde haired guy facing the other direction and uses his route back to Caitlyn's flat.

[Niall's POV]

"Bye Caitlyn, Skylar and Niall..." She says as she twisted the metal door knob and left. I can't just let it go just as easy as that. I have to catch up with her.

I opened the door of Caitlyn and thankfully, I still can hear the footsteps which I assume belongs to Jade. I followed the fast walking but it came to an end where I didn't any footsteps at all.

I glance everywhere but no sign of Jade. I have to make up things with her.

----------------------

Maybe listening to music would help me think properly. From the event last night, it seems hard for me to get through it. I misunderstood her. Now I knew what she meant. That she wanted me to kiss her on the rain. I wish she'll still forgive me.

Listening to music fills my heart with varies emotions. I feel like I'm on a place which I can't seem to point out. Music washes away care and sorrow.

It makes me feel that I am made for something better, for some place somewhere beyond the horizon, for some kind of joy that knows no bounds.

Music leads me up until I am almost no longer myself. I become something else I can't define.

I set my iPod on shuffle and all of a sudden "Only Hope" by Mandy Moore plays. How did this get here? But who cares. It's not a big deal.

The chorus comes and a photograph of Jade started occupying every space in my mind. I already miss her so much.

I paused the music and hurriedly headed to school. I wouldn't be losing Jade, right? No, not now.

I arrived at our classroom to see Jade with the palms of her hands covering her majestic face.

"Hey, Jade...What's the matter love?" I ask her as she slowly puts down her hands revealing a red puffy eyes. Has she been crying here for minutes which seemed to be hours?

"Oh Niall...I just miss you so much. I messed things up. I know people forget, and I'm such an arse for being rude at you last night." She utters as sobs escape from her lips.
