Chapter 4: Who's that?

CHAPTER 4: Who's that?

"Niall...Tim?"  I whisper as I shut my eyes close. I was unconscious for the whole time. I wake up to find myself lying on a bed. Huh?? What am I doing here? Why am I here? The nurse of our school found me awake and approaches me.

"Ms. Carter, good to see you awake"  the nurse says as I sit down.

"Why am I here?"  I ask confused.

"Don't you remember? There were three girls that beat you up a while ago morning?"  She says trying to calm me down.

"Oh.. yeah. Wait a while ago morning? So you mean it's afternoon already?"  I ask knowing that me,Tim and Niall have to hang out.

"Yes... Oh and there are two guys waiting for you outside."  She says as she puts a smile on her face.

"Oh.. okay. Thanks"  I say as I leave the bed and go to the two guys outside which i know is Niall and Tim. But I was wrong. It wasn't them.

"Hey Jade!"  I guy suddenly stands in front of me.

"Uhhmm.. who are you?"  I ask as his friend approaches me too.

"I'm Matt and this is my friend Jess. We were practicing for the game when we heard girls shouting by the locker. as we entered where the shoutings were coming from, we saw the girl punch the crap out of you, so we defended you and brought them to the principal's office. We carried your body to the clinic since you were unconscious."  Matt says letting a dimple appear on his cheek. He's cute but not my type.

"Oh.. thanks. And by the way. How'd you know my name?"  I ask as he looks at his friend.

"Well...err..uhmm... It's a long story. So are you alone?"  He asks.

"Well I was supposed to be-"

"Jade!!! We're glad you're awake. How are you? Who were the girls that did this to you? Are you still hurt?"  Niall cuts me off and run towards me.

"Relax Niall... I'm fine"  I say with a bit of blush. Niall looks at the boy I was talking to and had a slight flashback.

  "Niall..are you okay?"  I say snapping him out from his flashback.

"Ohhh...umm.. yeah. Why don't we leave now okay?"  He says a bit nervous. I don't know why but I followed and so did Tim.

"Wait Jade!!!!  Talk to you next time again, okay?"  Matt shouts as he winks at me. What? Why'd he wink at me? Niall saw it and I could see his eyebrows meeting each other.

"Niall? Are you mad or something?"  I ask as we look at each others eyes.

"Well... I know Matt and well...we were fighting over a girl. I let go and give him a chance. Then one day I heard rumors that he only broke the girl's heart... So... he's not good with girls."  He says with a sad face

"So what are you trying to tell me?"  I ask really confused already. Tim was just listening to our conversation.

"I think...he likes you..."  Niall says with a sad voice

"Huh? Impossible. We just met."  I say

"Yes...It's possible. That's also what he did with the girl we were fighting over... He winked at the girl too and smiles. And that's what he did to you too just a while ago."  He says as he bows his head down.

"And?....."   I continue

"I just want to warn you not to fall in love with him. I know most girls think he's cute but I don't want him to break any girl's heart, Especially you..... You're too precious to let go."  He says as I see pink blushes appearing on his cheek. I was silent of what he said. He cares for me. He doesn't want anything bad to happen to me. I glance at Tim who looks like to be getting jealous.
