Best Friends?

Today is a cold rainy day in Mullingar, Ireland so it gives you the perfect excuse to stay in your pajamas and watch movies all day.  After your first movie finishes up, you go into the kitchen to make some food.  There isn't much to eat and you don't really want to cook anything, so you just throw a pizza in the oven.  As soon as you close the oven door, your phone dings signaling that you got a text.

You check your phone seeing that the text is from your best friend, Niall Horan.  You and Niall have been best friends for forever.  The two of you grew up together and were always hanging out.  You were inseparable.

"Hey Y/N!" Niall says.

"Hey Niall!" you reply.

"You home?"

"Yeah... why?" you reply slightly confused.

"No reason..." he says mysteriously.

While you are waiting for the pizza, you go over to your movie collection to pick out the next movie to watch.  After a few minutes of searching, you decide to watch your favorite movie, The Notebook.  You carefully put the movie into the DVD player and get it ready to watch.  Right after you set the movie up,  your doorbell rings waking up your puppy, Max, who was napping peacefully on your pile of blankets upon the couch.  Your dog runs to the door barking on his way.  You rush to the door to quiet Max down and when you open the door you see your best friend standing under the overhang on your porch.

"Niall!" you yell excitedly, jumping into his arms for a hug.

"Hey princess," he says with a slight laugh.

"What are you doing here?" you ask slightly confused.

"What?  Are you not happy to see me?" he asks pretending to be offended.

"Of course I'm happy to see you!  Lets go talk inside, its a bit cold out here."

"Okay," he says and follows you into your house.

"I thought you were on tour?" you ask after you close the door, shutting the cold out.

"We have a week off right now so I thought I'd come visit you."

"Aww! I feel loved!"

"You are loved.  I love you," he says seriously.

"I love you too Nialler."

"No, I really love you.  I can't stop thinking about you.  You'll never understand how much I miss you every day.  When the guys are with their girlfriends, all I want is to be with you.  Every day, you are on my mind.  Whenever something good happens, you're the first person I tell.  I just want to be with you.  I want to hold you and hug you whenever I want.  I want to be able to kiss you and call you mine," Niall confesses.

You don't really know what to say, so you do what you've secretly wanted to do for a long time.  You stood on your toes and kissed him on the lips softly.  He was surprised at first, but then wrapped his arms around your waist and kissed you back.  You continued kissing with as much passion as you could until you broke apart a few minutes later.

"I love you," Niall says.

"I love you too.  I really do," you say back.  

"Really?" he asks and you nod.  He leans down and kisses you once more only to be interrupted by the oven timer going off.

"Whats that?" he asks.

"Oh! The pizza is done!" you announce and race Niall to the kitchen.

You both watch movies for the rest of the day while eating your pizza.  During one of the movies, you were leaning up against Niall, about to fall asleep until he shifted under you.

"Hey princess?" he asks.

"Hmm?" you reply.

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes, I will Niall," you say and he wraps his arms around you, planting a kiss on your head.

"I love you," he whispers.

"I love you too," you reply as you drift off to sleep.
