Just a Fangirl

I freeze as your eyes lock with mine. Your beautiful, blue eyes are so mesmerizing; I am immediately put in a trance. I don't know what to say or what to do. It's as if time has stopped completely and we are the only two in the world. I snap back to reality as I feel a nudge.

"It's your turn!" some girl yells excitedly from behind me and I look around seeing everybody staring at me and my face flushes hot red.

You take a few steps towards me and smile your awkward, yet adorable smile, "Hello, love."

"H-hi," I squeak and you smile in return.

"What's your name?"

"It's, um... it's Y/N."

"It is nice to meet you Y/N!" you step forward and your arms go out like you're ready for a hug, and I can immediately smell your intoxicating cologne - vanilla, just like everybody says.

We hug and I try to take in every second of it. Your arms tightly wrap around my shoulders and mine around your lower back. I'm not used to tight hugs because I give soft ones and I try to hug you tighter, but I'm afraid I will hurt you. I'm not one of those short and thin girls, I am a good 5 feet and 9 inches tall, a little bit taller than you, and also sorta chunky.

I want to melt into the hug and just stay like that forever, but I'm too afraid of what you will think. You would probably think I'm weird or ugly or something, so I don't. I just try to savor this moment so I can remember it for later.

The hug ends and you flash your big, happy smile at me and I can't help but do the same. Every moment I'm near you, I'm falling in love more and more. I'm falling in love with someone I can't have.

We quickly pose for a picture, our arms wrapped around each other's waist, and smile happily. Soon, my time with you is finished and I say my goodbyes as I walk away. I turn around one last time to see you before I leave and you are already with the next girl. I am so unbelievably happy that I got to be with you for a few moments, but wish it could have lasted forever. Maybe someday, but for now I'll keep being the fangirl behind the computer.

A/N:

Hello everybody!  I am back once again, even though it has still been a while.  I am trying to start posting more often, like I always say. 

Hopefully this short little imagine wasn't too bad for ya.  I will try to have a longer one up soon!  I hope you guys like this update and that it feels somewhat relatable, but not too sad.  I read it through when I finished it and realized it sounds really sad, which I totally didn't intend to make it sad!  I'm sorry!

I am so so so happy that we have reached 28,000 reads!  That's unbelievable!  Thank you so much for all of your lovely comments.  They really mean a lot to me!  If you have requested an imagine recently, I will have it up soon, but haven't exactly been writing a whole lot right now.  I promise I haven't forgotten!!!
