Chapter Fourteen: The Final Showdown

The angles and the demons rushed against each other and fought to the death. Michael and Gabriel were caught by a few battle demons and were busy. Me, Daeda and Dracula continued to look for Kal.

There was a huge temple, similar to Daeda's and we knew that he would be in there. We all ran in ready to battle and the inside was empty. We crept around slowly and decided to go downstairs.

Out of no where I felt hands wrap around me and hold my mouth shut. It pulled me away and Daeda and Dracula didn't notice. I found myself in the center of a ritual. Kal stood above me and looked me in the eyes.

His eyes turned red and I felt dizzy. He grabbed my throat and lifted me up. "Now your mine" he said. "Kill Dracula and Daeda."

I couldn't control my body, it moved on its own towards Daeda and Dracula. It felt like I was in a car that was driving itself. I saw Daeda and Dracula calling my name and searching the temple.

"Good it's you" Daeda said. "Where did you go? Did you find Kal?" My body nodded no and ran for them both. I drew my sword and swung at them not know what I was doing.

Dracula kicked me onto the floor. I lay there looking up at him. I tried fighting it, I tried hard not to get up. But my body stood and tackled Dracula and punched him over and over again. Daeda grabbed me and threw me against the wall.

"It's Kal" Daeda said. "He's controlling Mason. We have to find Kal and stop this!" Dracula nodded.

"I'll find Kal and break the seal that is holding Mason's conscience" Dracula said. He turned into the bats an flew around the temple.

"Fight it Mason" Daeda said. "He may be controlling you but you are strong, you have gotten really strong so fight it. Think about Sammy, think about the happiness she brings you."

I tried fighting it. I used all my strength to pull myself back but nothing was working. Then I saw Kal walk in holding Dracula by the neck. In the other hand he held a seal, that must be what's preventing me from controlling my body. He threw Dracula onto the floor.

"Dammit" Daeda said helping Dracula up. "I don't think we can take both of them on. We have to try and break that damned seal."

Dracula and Daeda ran towards Kal and I blasted them with a gust of air. They flew towards the wall and banged against the bricks.

Michael swooped in and swung his sword to the seal and broke it in half. He landed in front of me and gave me a hand. "Now let's fight Mason."

Gabriel too came in and kicked Kal in the back. Michael flipped over his head and kneed the back of his head. Dracula kicked his jaw and Daeda blasted him against the wall. He can't take us four on.

"My son" Michael said. "Why do this? Why go against us angels and try to kill us?"

"Because father" he said getting up. "You guys let this happen to me. You let that monster Abaddon take me and torture me. Now I want you to feel the same pain!" He charged for Michael and punched him in the face, he kneed his gut and threw him against the wall.

Gabriel swung his sword and cut Kal's face. Kal grabbed the sword but before he can do anything I came in and kicked him away. Kal started to get angry and punched me hard in the chest. My head hit the side of the wall and I started to get dizzy. I was only human, and that's the problem. I transformed into a demon and punched Kal in the jaw with all my might and he fell against the floor.

Daeda stood above him. "Tsalb fo eht nus!" He yelled and blasted a powerful beam at Kal's body. Kal yelled in pain and kicked Daeda off. Dracula caught Daeda from falling and set him down. He transformed to bats and swooped towards Kal. He transformed back and dug his sword into his chest. Kal grabbed him and threw him at Gabriel.

"Get off me vermin" Gabriel said throwing Dracula off. Michael came in and kicked Kal. Kal grabbed Michael's throat and bashed his head against the floor with full force. Michael coughed blood and Gabriel tackled Kal against the wall.

Kal grabbed Gabriel's wings and pulled on them. They began to rip and Gabriel screamed in pained. He jumped back and kicked Kal away. He held onto his wings and shrieked in pain. Kal blasted everyone else away including me. He grabbed onto Gabriel's wings one more time and pulled with full force. And ripped them off.

Gabriel screamed in pain and Kal kicked him away. Michael got angry and charged at Kal. Kal jumped in the air and kicked Michael's jaw. I jumped into the battle and blasted him against the wall. Dracula spring to action and drove his sword into Kal's gut. Kal yelled in pain and kicked the vampire away. He took out the sword and broke it in half.

"You fools think you can beat me?" He laughed. "It'll take the Creator himself to defeat me!" He laughed and Michael tackled him through the wall and into the middle of the battlefield.

We saw angels and demons fighting to the death. Flying around and blasting energy waves at each other. It was chaos, but I have seen battles like these before.

"Daeda stay here with Gabriel and help him" Michael said. "We'll take care of Kal, trust me."

We all charged for Kal and two huge demons stood in the way. Michael blasted one into ashes and Dracula kicked one off of a ledge. "Here" Michael yelled and threw another sword to Dracula.

"Thanks" he said and swung at Kal. Kal grabbed it and flipper Dracula over on his back.

"Tsalb fo-" he grabbed my mouth shut.

"Be silent" he said. "Eb tenlis!" He yelled a spell and it stitched my mouth shut. I couldn't say a spell and if I moved my mouth it hurt a lot. He kicked me against a wall and I saw him go full force on Michael and Dracula. He grabbed Michael and ripped off his armor. He kicked his fathers chest and he flew back. A gang of demons surrounded him and began to beat him.

Dracula turned into a swarm of bats and Kal let out a powerful energy wave burning all the bats. Dracula reformed and his body was all burnt and bruised. "Forget having you by my side Mason" he said walking up to me. "I'll just have to kill you instead!" He grabbed my throat and lifted me up into the air.

He summoned a huge sword and lifted it up into the air. "Time to die human!" He yelled and swung his sword.

Out of instinct and reflex I caught it in my hands and looked at him. I transformed into s demon and let my dark side take over. I ran towards him without control and tackled him onto the floor. I pounded my fist against his face as he struggled to get me to off. Ripped open my mouth and yelled into his ear. I punched his stomach with all of my strength and he coughed out blood.

He held his stomach and I took Dracula's sword. I plunged it into his chest and punched it deeper with my fist. Kal yelled. I took his huge sword and looked at him.

"Time to die Kal" I said. "Tsalb fo eht nus!" I plunged the sword into his forehead and blasted a beam with all my strength into it and I saw his squirming body stop moving.

After the smoke from the blast cleared I saw Kal's body lying in front of me with no head. I looked at the body and it turned into ash. A small light rose from the ashes, it was his angel side. I grabbed it and squeezed it until it became nothing. I finally defeated Kal once and for all.

I let out a sigh and turned back into a human. I fell onto the floor and passed out.

I woke up and I saw Sammy looking at me and she smiled. "Your up" she said. She kissed me and I kissed her back.

"How long have I been out?" I asked.

Sammy answered; "A few hours but I never left your side. The guy you call Daeda said you used up too much power and should lay low for a while."

"Good idea" I said. "I almost died, and I can't have that happen ever. I can't leave you not now or ever. My demon hunting days are over."

"Thank god" she said and kissed me. For once I felt happy.

I stood up and rubbed my eyes. I felt a sharp pain enter my body and I turned to see Boogeyman and his sword going through my chest. I coughed blood and everything turned red. I got weak and all went dark.
