Chapter 12: Freedom

×Kitts P.O.V.×
I opened my eyes hearing someone walk into my room. It was Victoria. I looked over and saw Nolan asleep still. Victoria smiled at me and helped me up. "Were gonna take another round of x-rays to see how you're healing." I nodded as she reached down and grabbed a clipboard. I watched her read over it and raise her eyebrow then frowned. "What is it?" I asked confused. "Oh nothing. Sorry let's get going." She said and helped me  wall out, hitting Nolan and waking him up. "Nolan help Kitt to the x-ray room ok? Were gonna have a little chat." She said making the last part less audible. Nolan came out and held my hand to keep me upright as we walked to the x-ray room. I looked at him as he yawned. "Still tired?" I asked and he nodded. "Are you not going to school today?" I raised my eyebrow. "Nah, I told Naven not to come get me cause I knew they were gonna do x-rays on you today so I stayed to help you." He said rubbing the back of his neck and smiling. I smiled as we made it down the hall and into the x-ray room. I layer down on the table perfectly still and closed my eyes.

×Nolans P.O.V.×
I helped her to the table and walked out. Mom came around the corner with a stern look on her face. Uh oh. She walked over to me and crossed her arms. "Yes Mommy?" I said giving a innocent smile like I haven't done anything. "Don't 'yes mommy' me you changed her diagnostic didn't you?" I sighed and nodded knowing I've been caught. "What were you thinking. What if you got caught." She scorns me. I look down. "She looks miserable in here. I want to help her." I said leaning against the wall, she grabbed my shoulder. " I know you want to help your friend. Just don't do it again ok I don't want you getting caught." I smiled and hugged her. "I won't." She walked away as Kitt came out. I helped her back to her room. She didn't need as much help as she did when we walked to the x-ray room. I hope shell be out today. She walked to the bed and laid back down.. I watched her cover up her tiny legs and I sat down at the foot of the bed. "So what if you get out of here today?" I asked smiling at her. "Hm I don't know I need clothes mine I came in are all bloody." She said looking down. I smiled. "Want me to go to your house and get some clothes while you take a shower?" I said. "Sure but ask Lacey where everything is. She said she organized it earlier." She said. I smiled as the doctor came in with a new folder. "Well here are your x-rays and we have fantastic news." The doctor said smiling at Kitt. He put the x-rays on the screen and let us look at them. "There's no hair line cracks and your wrist is actually healing quickly you should be able to take the cast off in a few days." He said. I looked over at Kitt and saw her smile. "Does that mean I can leave today?" She asked with a hopethrl smile. "Well yes actually you can stay for a few hours if you want." The docter said, turning to leave. "Yeah I think I'll stay a little longer." She smiled. The doctor left and I stood up. "Want me to go get your clothes now?" I asked as she started walking to the bathroom. "Yes please. Remember ask Lacey where everything is." She said closing the door and turning the water on. "Ok I will!" I yelled not knowing if she could hear me. I walked out the door and down the hall into the elevator. I walked out of the elevator and into the waiting room. I walked out and looked around and saw my car and ran towards it. I opened the door seeing it was unlocked and my keys in the glovebox. I found a note in there as well, saying 'I thought you would need your car today love ya bro -Naven' I put the note up and sat in the drivers seat. I cranked the car and headed towards Kitts house. When I got close to her house I texted Lacey.

M: hey Lacey I have a question Kitt told me to ask you where her clothes were cause you organized them and Kitt can come home today.
L:Oh that's good and get her some pajamas and when she gets home make her some tea ok?  Her Pokemon pajamas are in the closet on the bottom shelf its the grey shirt with the pokeball and the red pajama pants.
M:ok that's all I needed to know I can find the rest thanks.
L:you're welcome see ya later.

I pulled into the driveway and got out. I walked up the porch and walked into the door. I looked around and walked upstairs to her room. I opened the door and went to her closet. I opened the door and grabbed the shirt and pants and socks and looked around. I opened a drawer and found her underware. I grabbed a pair at random and wrapped it in her clothes. I walked back down the stairs and out the door closing the door behind me. I got in the car and drove back to the hospital.
