Dirty Buisness

- (Y/n)'s POV -

As the doors opened to the canteen I slipped my way through trying to distance myself from Erwin. I had a bad feeling as heads turned to look at me, yes I was used to the attention but that was back in the underground where all anyone did was give a girl with a pretty face attention. My skin crawled as people looked to me with eyes filled with curiosity and wonder, I felt like a specimine under a microscope. New soldiers had joined, with their wide eyes and shifting feet they looked around, they were in the same boat as I was. 

As I got my ration of food for  the morning I walked around to find an empty table, to no avail I sat at the end of one table consisting of a girl with brown dirt colored hair and glasses who seemed to have a gleam in her eye, and as expected Levi. I could feel his eyes burning into me as I looked down at the small portion of food I had taken. 

- Levi's POV -

She took shuch a small plate, barley enough food to support a child, yet she looked at it as if it was the most food she had ever seen. I scarcly remember eating in the underground, but from what I do remember the 'Duke and Dutchess crew' consisting of Isabel, Farlen, (Y/N) and I had sometimes not eaten in days. Shitty glasses must have noticed as well because she started examing (Y/N) from her starved form to her sunken in eyes that used to hold so much wonder, faded. Hanji opened her mouth to ask a question, I gave her a stern look. Yet as usual she ignored it.

"Hey you're (Y/n) right?" 

(Y/n) looked up from her food, I saw a trace of suprise on her face before she masked it again, she's gotten good at hiding her emotions fro others. Maybe a little too good. 

"Yes, I am." (Y/n) spoke in a monotone voice very similar to mine, she sounded bored. "Well I'm Hanji!!" Shitty glasses bounced in her seat excitedly as she pointed to myslef. "And this shorty here is Levi!! He can be a real pain in the butt sometimes but you'll get used to it!!" (Y/n) just stared at her with a blank expression, turning back to her food she spoke up "I am well aquainted with Levi." She shoved a piece of bread into her mouth as hanji's smile faultered, then grew wider. "Thats right!! You lived with Isabel and Farlen too!!" (Y/n) fist hit the table creating a bang in which everyones head turned to. (y/n) swallowed slowly as she looked at Hanji fury hidden in her eyes, I flinched for a moment to see such pain and anger in her eyes but quickly retrieved my compousre. "Levi never speaks about his past but everyone said he was a murderer on the streets and he had a partner." Hanji stared at (Y/n) in curiosity, "Yeah, me." (Y/n) stood up leaving her plate as she flung the doors to the canteen open and walked out, eyes trailing her movements. I stood up to follow leaving Hanji opened mouthed and suprised. I finally figured out why she let herself be captured.
