Where have you been?

Sorry about the wait to any readers I had my phone taken away so I couldn't update!! Well here's an extra long chapter so I hope you all enjoy!!

~ (y/n)'s POV ~

I blinked at Levi, making sure he was the real thing and wouldn't evaporate the moment my eyes opened. He seemed to be doing the same, making sure I wouldn't disappear. A silence fell on the group as we stared at each other, taking in each others changes.

~ Levi's POV ~

I stared at (y/n) she had changed a lot, she looked more cold, emotionless, but the one thing that hadn't changed her (h/l) (h/c) hair. She looked so much more sophisticated, yet she was still smaller than me. (sorry if you're taller I personally am shorter so I'm going with short)  I had been lost in thought, not listening to what Erwin was saying until (y/n) put her hand on her hips, her (e/c) eyes cold. If looks could kill Erwin would be 6 ft under already. "Like hell I will, I'm not some guard dog you can train." (Y/n)'s voice came out strong and hostile, she was not happy. "Fine, I guess we'll just have a proper court vote to see if you will live, or die for the crimes you have committed." Erwin's eyes raked (y/n) in a way I didn't like, he eyed her as if she was a promising piece of property. (Y/n) shifted her (e/c) eyes to me, as I held my breath she watched me. "I will join you on one condition." (Y/n)'s eyes shifted back to Erwin, "and what will that be?" The commander stood seriously, not taking his eyes off (y/n). " I want to be in Levi's squad."

~ Erwin's POV ~

Her request was not surprising to me, I knew she would only want to be in Levi's squad. But something about how she looked at him made my stomach hurt, I couldn't understand why I was feeling like this. She is a criminal just as Levi was, but even more cunning, I couldn't let feelings develop. She could manipulate me, or worse she would die soon. I didn't realize how strong she had become compared to those years before when we had taken Levi, Isabel, and Farlen. But both Isabel and Farlen had both died early, that's what I fear will happen to (y/n) if she's as stubborn as she comes off to be. "Very well, Levi escort miss (y/n) to the spare room next to your office." I looked into (y/n)'s eyes once more before turning on my heel and walking down the hallway. I really needed to keep my feelings in check, or it may be the end of me.

~ (y/n)'s POV ~

"Very well, Levi escort miss (y/n) to the spare room next to your office." Eyebrows turned on his heel and walked down the hallway muttering to himself about something I couldn't make out. Mike opened the cell doors giving me my space as if I was a caged grizzly. "Tch" I scoffed as I stretched my arms over my head walking towards the still taller, more built Levi. He looked troubled and angry as he looked in the direction Erwin had walked off to muttering angrily. "Cheer up pumpkin I'll be here to stay for a while and we can catch up." I spoke to Levi in a bored tone as I held no expression on my face. I turned away from him and started walking down the hall as I heard shuffling behind me assuming it was Levi. He walked me to the room next to his office and we sat down to talk. The news about Isabel and Farlen's deaths had hit me hard, but at least they didn't have to suffer in a shitty world like this anymore. As I went to bed after Levi left I curled into the bed and cried. Not wanting anyone to hear my cries of pain, I muffled them with a pillow. Little did I know this was only the beginning of a life full of pain.
