My tongue ran along my chapped lips, letting out a soft moan as I turned my stiff neck. My bones cracked a bit as I turned my neck side to side, scrunching my nose. I stretched out an arm, yawning before my hand hit against something hard. I pulled back, rubbing my knuckles until I realized—
Am I dead?
My eyes snapped open, revealing a elegant white ceiling. I shot up from bed, my eyes darting around the room anxiously. The mysterious room held beautiful white furniture along the walls, with large massive white trimmed windows that brought light from outside.
I turned my neck, looking at a large white head board sat at the front of the large king size bed I lay in. My hands gripped at the white satin sheets, followed by pushing on the soft white pillows.
Curiously, I pushed myself off the bed, stepping onto the cold hardwood floor as I began to roam the large room. My hands trailed along the white painted walls, looking around at all the details. My eyes fixed themselves on a beautiful painting of a young woman looking out into the distance, and moved on to a large elegant mirror that hung from the wall. I stepped into view and gasped— I was dressed in a beautiful flowing white gown that flowed out towards the end. I twirled around, watching as it went with me. I smiled softly, looking myself up and down.
My face was all natural, and my hair was a complete mess. It was as if I had been sleeping for ages and finally woken up. It truly felt like that, though. I dragged myself away from the mirror and moved on to the large window.
I peered out the window. Pushing aside the white curtain, my eyes took in the setting outside— it was a beautiful blue sky that had caught my attention, and my eyes trailed down to notice the small patches of grass that began to grow in sections of the dirty ground all around.
I scrunched my nose, pushing the curtain back into place as I let out a shaking breath. Was this a dream? Was I dead? Was this heaven? My mind was completely racing, I hadn't hear the door open until a loud crash sounded behind me. I spun around, only to meet eyes with Taylor as she glared at Behemoth whom had now knocked over a dresser.
I chuckled lightly, "Oh my gosh! Taylor! Behemoth!" I ran at them, wrapping both of them in a tight hug. They both let out a soft laugh as their arms enclosed around me, giving me a squeeze as I pulled away.
"What are you doing here!" I asked aloud, my eyebrows arched in surprise. If this was heaven, I don't think either of them would be here, "Where are we?"
"Madison, you—" Taylpr began, but Behemoth cut in, stepping in front of her as he said, "I wanna tell her." Taylor rolled her eyes and folded her arms over her chest, waiting for him to go on. Behemoth cleared his throat, taking a deep breath as he began, "Madison.. There's no easy way to say this but..."
"What are you doing?" Taylor hissed.
"You're an angel." Behemoth finished.
My eyebrows shot up, only to rest back into their normal position as Taylor smacked him on the arm. Behemoth snickered, yelling aloud as Taylor slapped him again, "You moron! The girl wakes up from a deep sleep and you decide to try and give her a heart attack!?"
"What! It was a joke!" He laughed.
Both Taylor and I rolled out eyes, and Taylor stepped ahead of him. She wrapped her hands around mine as she whispered softly, "Come on."
"Where?" I asked, and she pulled me along, Behemoth not far behind. Taylor led us through the large French doors into a long white hallway. Her arm reached behind as she held my hand, pulling me through this massive mansion is what I had presumed it to be. Nobody answered me as to where we were, but I kept quiet.
