Chapter 1

Caroline's POV

I am moving.
No let me rephrase that.
We are moving.
No. Again.
We are moving in with my dad's new wife.
No, that's still not good enough.
Me, my dad and his wife and her two boys.
Yeah that's the right one.
BOYS?!
BOYS?!

What am I gonna do?

I was sitting in my old bedroom floor and looked around to see my whole life in boxes right now. I packed everything. I was ready. At least with the packing.

I looked up as I heard the moving company's car park in our driveway and took a deep breath.

New house, new life, and two step brother. I haven't met them yet which was strange but I met with my dad's wife a lot of time, we went out together a lot actually but her boys never came. Dad went out with them a couple of times but I don't know how it went. He never mentioned it all.

I think it was understandable but you know  what if they don't like me?

"Pumpkin! You have to come down! They are going to pack your boxes in the van!" I heard my dad shouting to me and I frowned. He has to stop calling me pumpkin. I quickly got up and put my bag on my shoulder.

I hurry down and grab my guitar. No way that I leave that there. I got in my dad's car and he started to drive. I could see he was giving me worried glances as I was a little angry with him.

Jules and my father got married in secret. I mean they were together a really long time but I had no idea when they went to a 'two days alone time' as they described it that they will get married?!

"Can you stop calling me pumpkin, dad?" I asked him quietly and he chuckled.

"Why? I like it." I rolled my eyes.

"Dad, please? I don't want them know they will laugh on me." he chuckled and I looked him wide eyed. Even he was laughing. Ugh. He parked at our new driveway and we got out as I was looking around.

The house was huge. 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom and lots of other good stuff. My dad got a promotion not long ago, he is a business director now. I can see other cars there, maybe it's Jules's and the boys.

I spotted 2 guys standing at the front door and Jules smiling and waving to us.

"Show time!"I mumbled and my dad started to laugh on my lame joke and huged my shoulder as we walk closer. My dad went to hug and kiss Jules. Ew. I hope I don't need to watch that a lot.

"Hi, guys."I say shyly to them and start to play with my hair. I was watching the ground actually which I shouldn't but this whole situation was just too strange and ridiculous.

Samuel's POV (Baabaabarian )

"Hi" I reply blankly to the girl. Xander remains quiet, our mum had told us about of her, she met her a few times before, but I never really payed attention, after all, she's just the daughter of the man our mother married.

"I'm Caroline Jade West." greets the girl nervously.

"Xander Williams." says my brother sternly, holding out his hand, Caroline shakes his hand and looks to me nervously. I sigh,

"Samuel Williams. Nice to meet you." I add, shaking her hand, semi-enthusiastically.

"Come inside." says my mother happily. We walk through the doorway, and Caroline and her father gaze through the house. "Caroline, you'll be in the old guest room, the boys can show you where everything is. Your father and I have some catching up to do." says my mother, her voice trailing off as she drags Caroline's father to her bedroom.

"Oh what the hell." says Xander.

"Yeah that was some creepy move." I add. Caroline stands in front of us, quietly and awkwardly. "Come on, we'll show you around." I say, in my most polite tone. I walk down the hallway with Xander, Caroline following close behind. "Here's your room, first door in the hallway. "I say, pointing through the door, to the somewhat empty room.

"It's nice, a lot bigger than my old room." smiles Caroline, looking somewhat more comfortable.

"And two doors down on the left is the bathroom." adds Xander, pointing in the direction of the bathroom, although it wasn't the only one in the house.

"You should be able to find everything else pretty easily." I continue.

"Thanks." smiles Caroline.

We walk back to the lounge room and sit down, before I feel my phone ring. I pull it out from my pocket and answer.

"Hello, Sam speaking." I say.

"Hey Sammy!" Answers the voice, I recognize who it is, Caitlyn, she's my age but everyone knows she wants Xander. "We're all going in to the city soon, you and Xander should come." adds Caitlyn cheerily. I look over to Xander.

"Yeah, I'll see, our step sister has just moved in, so I'll let you know." I answer.

"That's okay, have fun, I'll see you and Xander later." says Caitlyn, hanging up the phone. I look over to Xander.

"Guess who that was." I say slyly.

"Who?" Asks Xander.

"Caitlyn, she wants to meet up soon." I answer. Xander shakes his head.

"You guys can go, I won't mind." says Caroline and I laugh.

"We aren't that bad that we're going to bail out on you straight away." Caroline smiles.

"Well that's good, I've never had siblings before." she replies.

The room goes quiet and we hear the sound of slight bumping, coming from our mum's room.

"Okay, time for a drive?" Says Xander. I quickly stand up and grab my keys.

"Yep, let's go." I reply, walking out the front door without hesitation.
