Chapter 33

Caroline's POV

I looked around and saw him walking with Rose. What? Caitlyn stepped in front of me.
- Move. -I hiss at her.

- Rose is not in love with him anymore. Okay?- She tell me.

- How do you know that for sure?- I asked her abd see that Samuel started to walk towards us.

- I know all right?- I sighed.

- Okay. - I nodded.

I heard shouting from afar and laughing. I spotted Melanie pointed at as Samuel stopped in front of me. He didn't move he just shielded me from others. They know. I closed my eyes. He grabbed my hand and hugged me I hissed when his chest touched my cheek. He pushed me away and grabbed my chin.

- Who was it? - I snickered.

- I told you. - Caitlyn tells me. Samuel turned to her with a death glare in his eyes. I turned his face back to me.

- Doesn't matter. I missed you. - I tell him and stroke his cheek. He closed his eyes for a sec.

- So lovebirds! - I heard Melanie voice. - how is it going?- She asks us giggling. She was high.

- Fuck off Melanie! You can't destroy us. - I can see Scott walk beside her.

- So Sammy boy. Are you fucking your step sister? - he laughed. I felt Samuel tense. - I wonder if Xander tried her out yet? - he laughed harder. We watched the people around us. They are all laughing except the four of us.
The other boy started to shout after us when we started to walk towards the school.

- Hey! Caroline! Do you want to try me and my brother?? - he laughed but I stopped.

- Move Caroline! - Samuel hollered and the girls after us. Everyone was laughing.

Samuel's POV

- Has Samuel's Dad tried you too? - Taunts Scott. In that moment, the crowds crude remark silence. They all realized that a line had been crossed. Without thinking, I tackle Scott to the ground. He tries to push me off, I quickly punch him in the face three times. Caroline drags me off and he stands back up. I brush Caroline off. Scott swings for me, I duck his punch, landing a powerful body shot into his sternum, he keels over, I quickly bring my leg up, kneeing him in the face twice. I see his feet sway, I draw back, punching him one last time, Scott falls to the ground, unconscious and bleeding from his face.

I pant, regaining my breath and glance from Scott to the crowd.
- Anyone else have something to say? - I question. The silent crowd quickly dissipates, even Melanie running off.

The bell for class goes, one of Scott friends quickly grabs him, shuffling him into a car and driving off.
- Let's go to class. - says Caroline, tugging on my sleeve, breaking my blank stare at the drops of blood on the concrete path.

Caroline's POV

I was terrified and I landed on my backside when I tried to take him off from Scott. I pushed him inside. I don't want him in trouble. I grabbed his hand and check him out. His knuckles was bloody. He was still panting.

- Idiot. - I mumbled to him. He grabbed my hand and take me inside of a boys toilet. He closed it.

- I am an idiot? - he shouted at me. I cringe a little.

- Yeah a little. - I whispered his eyes widen and he takes a step towards me but I run over him and kissed him deep. - I love you no matter what you idiot! - I chuckled. I feel him chuckle and I hug him.

- I am sorry. - he telling me.

- What are we going to do? - I asked him. - Xander will be coming home today. I don't want to be there. - I sighed  and lifted my head up to see him looking at me. He touches my cheek.

- We will figure something out, okay?- He tells me kissing my lips lightly.

- Okay. Promise me you will be careful today? - I tell him.

- Back at you, Caroline. - he tells me and washing his hand.

- I try. Caitlyn has some class with me. She will be there and I think Rose going to be there for you. - I tell him swallowing my jealously. He grabs my hand and we walked outside. We went to our locker and put everything in there then we headed to our separate classes. Mine was English. I quickly sat down beside Caitlyn.

- Everything is fine? - she tells me.

- Yes as it could be. - I tell her.

- Is he all right?

- Yes he will be. This is so messed up. - I buried my head in my hand and groaned. Our teacher came in and cleared his throat we all turned to him.

- Class! We have a new student today. His name is Chris Jackson. Say hello to him. - Everything stopped when he stepped into the classroom.

Chris.
Chris my ex.
Chris my ex is in my new school.
Why can't I have a day without drama?
He waved and looked at me grinning. I grabbed Caitlyn hand for support. She hissed a little.

- Caroline! Au.. - she hissed. I turned to her.

- He is my ex. - I whispered to her she looked at me wide eyes.

- Samuel won't be happy. - why does she think that I am happy that he is here? I rolled my eyes. Luckily he didn't want to speak with me.
At lunch we were sitting around our table just us.

Samuel's POV

The day slowly passes by, no one else comments on Caroline and I, but I know they're all thinking it. I walk out from my final class, meeting up with Rose on the way out.

-Hey is it alright if I say goodbye to Caroline quickly? - I ask.

- Of course go for it. - smiles Rose.

I look around, and see Caitlyn walk out from one of the exits, a few meters behind follows Caroline, chatting with some guy.

- Who's that? - Asks Rose.

- That's exactly what I'm going ask when she comes over here. - I spit. He is way too chatty, and either she doesn't care or thinks nothing of it. Either way, I'm not happy.
