The Neigbors

My mom woke us up at around 11:00 and said Reece's mom was on her way to get her.
Once Reece left my mom said she needed to speak with me, so I left the room and told Bri that I'd be right back.
"Yeah mom?" I asked.
"Okay so I was getting the mail this morning when I met our neighbors for the first time. There was the sweetest women who was holding a batch of cookies and was heading in the direction of our house.
We stopped and talked and turns out the cookies were for us as a welcoming gift. We talked and she told me how she had two kids.
One is named Ashley, who is three, and a boy named Blake who is 17. And I kind ofmaybetoldherthatyou'dbabysither daughtertonight," mom said the last part in one breath.
"Okay that's fine," I said.
"Really?" my mom asked surprised. "Cause I know you don't like it when I make plans for you without asking, but the women made us cookies!"
"MOM! It's fine," I said laughing. "Okay great. Well she and I are going out at 6:00 and they'll be here around that time."
I was about to reply when a cautious looking Briaunna came down the steps. "M-my aunts m-moving," she said stuttering.
"What? No!" I yelled. I had finally found a bestfriend and I wasn't about to let her go!
"But she said that if I wanted I could stay with y'all. She said I was almost old enough to live by myself anyways. I mean if it's too much to ask I unde-," my mom cut her off with a
"We'd be delighted to have you."
I wasn't really surprised. Mom and I didn't like how small our family was and I always wanted a sister, and now I get to have one!
"Really?" Briaunna asked, joy visible in her eyes.
"Really," my mom assured.
"Okay well I'm gonna go pack. Be back later!"
With that and a goodbye hug she was out the door.
I had a lot to look forward to tonight.
