Overdue (Stevie & Ally)

Chapter 6

(Stevie's POV)

We walk back into the class and everyone is just talking and not really doing the worksheet like usual. Mr. Thompson calls me over to his desk, and I leave Ally at the desk. I walk over there and he has an emotionless face, this can't be good. I sit down in a chair next to him and ask,"Am I deep trouble?" He laughs and says,"Well for being late you get 10 points deducted off your participation today, but there's something else I want to talk about." My heart starts to beat faster, and my mind is going frantic. He looks into my eyes and says,"Are you aware that Torey Tomsovic goes to the school now?" Relief floods through me but I am still annoyed at the question. I sigh and say,"Yes. I am aware. And so is Ally. We had some drama already happen but it's nothing we can't handle." He says,"Okay, well if anything happens or you need me to do something, don't be afraid to ask for help. I have her next period, so I suggest you move quickly out of here if you don't want to see her." Why was he saying this? And more importantly, how does he know about her and Ally? I say,"Yeah. Probably. Is there anything else Mr. Thompson?" He says,"Actually yes. Sorry to keep you here, I'll go through this quickly." He turns to file cabinet and pulls out a series of papers, then picks out a few. He hands them to me and says,"Those are sign up sheets for our debate team here, I recommended you to the rest of the team, and they think you'll be a great addition." We have a debate team? Why is my math teacher handing me these forms? I look them over and say,"Yeah sure I'm up for it. I'll have these back tomorrow." He smiles and says,"Great, I'll let them know. You are free Ms. Stevie." I laugh and say,"Alright." I get up from the chair and fold the papers into my pocket. Ally has a look of concern on her face, and I give her a small smile. I sit back down at the desk and she says,"Okay what's going on?" I say,"Well, he asked if I knew that Torey goes here, and I said yes, and that you know too." Ally says,"How did he even know?" I shrug my shoulders and say,"I don't know, but anyways, he wanted me to join the debate team here." Ally laughs and says,"We have a debate team?" We both laugh and I say,"I know right!" I say,"But yeah, nothing bad. Plus, apparently Torey has this class next period, so we better get out of here quick if we wanna miss her." Ally smiles and says,"Oh I don't care. I'm over her." I get the papers from my pocket and put them in binder. I say,"So, wanna go anywhere for lunch?" Ally says,"I'm not sure... what about Sonic?" I literally love Sonic, like holy shit. I smile and say,"That sounds great." Ally says quietly,"You are making it so hard not to kiss you right now." I say,"Oh yeah?" I bit my lip and then smirk at her. She says playfully angry,"Lady you better stop it." I then have a flashback from me and Sarah, and I get sucked into it.

Flashback to about 8 or 9 months ago...

(Stevie's POV)

"Holy shit Stevie," said Sarah. I smirk and bit my lip and say,"What? See something you like?" Sarah says,"Oh yes, very much." The bell rings and we walk outside of the class. I see Ally Hills hanging out with her friends and they are laughing. Sarah grabs my hand and says,"Bathroom?" I laugh and say,"Yeah." I smirk at her and she leads me into the bathroom. Ally and her group look at me and Sarah and I could hear a few things. "There she goes again Ally" "Damn they are both hot" "Just talk to her already"

End of flashback....

(Stevie's POV)

Oh my god. Ally was there. She's always been there. Not in the stalkerish way, but as like a parents eyes kind of way. Making sure I didn't get hurt or anything. Ally waves her hand in front of me and says,"Hey Stevie? You okay?" I clear my throat and say,"Yeah I just had... some thinking." Ally says,"About lunch? You looked pretty zoned out. Everything okay?" I don't look at her eyes and say,"Yeah I'm fine. I have to do something at lunch, I'll see you after." Ally holds my hand under the desk and says quietly,"Stevie, what's bothering you?" I say,"Nothing. Just thinking." Ally looks into my eyes, as if she's reading me. I glance up at her a few times but never stared. Ally says,"I know you are lying, but I'll drop it if you want me to." I slightly nod my head, and she gives me a small smile. She rubs my hand under the desk and then goes back to doing her work. I just wanted this day to end. It was just an off day, not a bad life or anything. Since we had drama next with Amanda, Cammie, and Shannon, I was probably just going to go to the corner table or back room and just sleep. The bell rings and I quickly get up, leaving Ally right behind me. I see Sarah going down the stairs across from me and we both glance at each other.

(Ally's POV)

The bell rings, and Stevie takes off, but I keep up with her. I hear a familiar laugh and I know it's Sarah. She glances at Stevie and I can tell Stevie looks at her too. God I felt jealous, I don't even know why. But I guess I knew why. Me and Stevie aren't even dating, just friends with benefits without the sex and everything. I have been meaning to talk to Stevie about us, and she said that we would, but we haven't. Stevie walks into the drama room and a few people go in before me. She is in the back of the room, not even talking to Shannon, Cammie, or Amanda. She won't answer me of what's wrong, and I don't want to annoy her anymore, so I'll give her space. Everyone fills in the class, and the bell rings. I hear a voice saying,"Is this the drama room?" And of course it just had to be Torey. Stevie looks up and stares. She then goes into the lighting booth and shuts the door. Our drama teacher, Ms. Mitchell, says,"Oh you are the new student? What is your name my dear?" Torey smiles and looks directly me and says,"Torey." Ms. Mitchell says,"Well everyone, make sure Torey feels welcomed here, and don't be afraid to make new friends!" Everyone murmurs a welcome or hey, but once again, most of us already know who she is. She sits down in the front, and Ms. Mitchell begins to talk about what we are doing today, but I'm more worried about Stevie. Shannon, Cammie, and Amanda are all sitting in a small circle glancing at the booth and sometimes at me. I walk over to the circle, and Amanda pulls up a chair. Shannon says,"Welcome to the circle of wondering what's wrong with Stevie." I say,"I know. She won't tell me anything, I've asked her but she told me to leave it alone." Cammie says,"Aren't you two dating though?" I quickly glance at Cammie and say,"You had to say that out loud." Amanda stifles a laugh and so do they. I don't catch on and say,"What? What's funny?" Shannon says,"Ally, the whole group knows you like Stevie. And the fun you two have." She smirks and Amanda says,"Might wanna hide those love bites Hills." Cammie just laughs and says,"You have to talk with her about your relationship. What is there to lose?" I sigh and say,"Yeah, but she never admitted to liking me. The only other time was the hospital." Amanda says,"Even then? She never said anything?" I say,"No. She kissed me and I kissed back and then she said we would talk about us." Shannon says,"I would confront her about it." Cammie gets up and says,"Go talk to her. We will be over here for you." I walk over to the booth and take a deep breath. I knock on the door and say,"Stevie?" She opens the door and pulls me inside. She takes a deep breath and says,"I know. I know. I'm sorry. I'm just sorry for everything, and that I've just led you on without any explanation. I knew sooner or later it would come to this." My heart starts to sink and my mind is jumping to conclusions like a freaking trampoline. She says,"You may have noticed, (she laughs saying this) I am gay, and I do like you." My heart starts to smile and it shows up on my face. I say,"I kind of guessed it." She says seriously,"I can explain." I say,"I think the group should hear, unless they know or you are okay with that." She says,"Actually yeah that's probably better, I don't want to keep explaining myself. Nobody has heard the full story." I ask,"So why have you been so quiet today?" She says,"I'm not sure. I just wanted a quiet day. Just focused on school kind of day. Sorry. I've been kind of a jerk." I laugh and say,"It's okay. We all have days like that." Stevie looks up and smiles. I say,"So how about we come out here now? And go talk to our friends?" Stevie says,"Sure." I take her hand and lead her out the door to the circle of friends. I'm glad we had that small talk, but I was more worried about the one she had been holding off.

Well this was a weird chapter. I don't even know what happened to this chapter tbh, but anyways, here's a long one! I had been working on this for a few days and decided to just update the story. I didn't edit this so sorry for mistakes! Thank you all for coming this far and putting up with me not updating for days. I hate to say it but, I don't think I'll be writing my other story, I've lost the feeling to write it. Anyways, thank you all the reads and comments! Don't forget to vote! See you next week!
