Overdue (Stevie & Ally)

Chapter 11

(Rachel's POV)

I lean towards Stevie and close my eyes. I feel her coming closer and I get ready to kiss her. My god I want to kiss her so bad. Stevie then leans back and says,"I can't do this Rachel. Not now." What the hell? I lean back and open my eyes also. I ask,"What do you mean Stevie? You were ready just a minute ago." Stevie says,"I'm not going to cheat on Ally." I then say quickly,"Then break up with her and be with me." She sighs and says,"Rachel, you and I both know that's not going to happen either. I'm sorry but, I can't do this anymore." And my heart gets crushed into million pieces again. I sigh and ask,"Okay Stevie. Can we still remain friends though?" I hope she says yes... She smiles back and says,"Sure." We both put our jackets back on and turn off the stereo and get out of the car. I was so ready for this, I was sure of my feelings, but apparently Stevie isn't. As we are walking back, I see Ally walking towards us with Shannon, Cammie, and Ali. I whisper to Stevie,"Get ready for questions Boebi. I'll text you later." She whispers back,"See ya." I then walk diagonally from Stevie and go to hang out with the cheerleading squad. Sure I was one of the varsity soccer captains, but I can still hang out with other people. I get the group and see that brown hair bitch, Gabby. They all look up from their conversation and shout,"Hey girl! Hey Ray-Ray!" Ray-Ray.... really? I give a fake smile and say,"Hey!" I hug a few of them and of course Gabby has to say something. Gabby was one of the cheer captains, popular, pretty, fit, but not that smart. She laughs and says,"So Rachel, how did your little plan of yours go?" I laugh and say,"Well, since you are interested, she's not. We aren't, we won't, and didn't do anything other than talk." Gabby gives an obvious fake,"Aww" and then says,"Well... There are always other people sweetie." I say,"You have no idea Gabby. Being a lesbian in a school where you have dated most of the girls is horrible. I see like at least 2 of my exes every day not including Stevie." One of the cheer girls, who was actually my friend, Crystal says,"I wish I could relate. Once people find out you're Bi, the halls split like the red seas. Girls or guys won't really date me." I pat her on the shoulder and say,"Hey, there's someone here for you. I promise, some girl or some guy will date you and love you for you." She smiles and I smile back. I then hear some people yell on the other side of the building, and oh my god, please let it not be any of my friends. We all look at each other in the group and we race to the other side of the building. There was already a group around the people so I couldn't really see. I then recognize a voice in the group, it's Stevie. "Get the hell off me! Leave me alone." I put down my bags and push my way to the front, and I see a guy trying to get at Stevie, and he's being forceful. I yell,"Hey! Don't you fucking touch her! Back up!" I go up to them and push the guy away from her, and he seems drunk almost. He yells,"Hey! She's not yours!" I scream back,"She's my friend and I won't let you touch her." He tries to come up to us again and I push him away, still trying to get Stevie away. I say to Stevie,"Go, I got this."
She nods and runs to go find her group I'm assuming. I say to the guy,"What the hell is wrong with you? You don't touch a woman like that!" He slurs his words and says,"She was mine once, that bitch." I say,"Back up." He comes closer of course, and now I can really smell the alcohol on him. I say,"You are drunk. Don't do anything you'll regret." He laughs and says,"Kicking your ass is nothing I'll regret." He then charges for me and takes me off guard. He punches me in the eye, and I can feel like going black and blue already. I say,"Listen here buddy, I will hurt you, and you will never go near Stevie again." He laughs and charges again at me. Thank god I took wrestling in gym, so I knew how to take this guy down. I dodge him and go behind him, putting my leg under his and his arms back. I then elbow him in the back so he falls to the ground completely. I think he hit his head on the ground because I can see blood on the pavement. I grab my stuff and say to my group,"Come on, let's go." They nod and I make my way out of the small crowd. I then feel the pain really hit in my eye. And I think my nose is bleeding. Crystal says,"Holy shit are you okay Rachel?" I wipe my nose and yep, there's blood. I say,"Yeah I'm fine. Go find Stevie and make sure she's okay too." I then set my stuff down with the group who are now back in a circle talking. I walk to the bathroom and I see Ally walking in. I jog to bathroom and then walk in. She's just fixing her hair and checking her makeup and she then turns around to see me. Her eyes widen and says,"Woah, what the fuck happened to you Rachel?" I say,"Got into a fight. A guy was really coming on to Stevie and wouldn't leave her alone, plus he was drunk, so I stepped in." Ally says,"Wow. Thank you for protecting my girlfriend." I chuckle and say,"It's no problem. Friends have each other's back." She asks,"So..." I say,"Ally, you have nothing to worry about. I'm not trying to go for your girlfriend. She's yours." Ally smiles and says,"Thank you." I go into one of the stalls and grab some toilet paper to wipe my nose. I say,"Just make sure she's happy." Ally smiles and says,"Will do." I then open the door and see Stevie rushing over to me. She hugs me and says,"Oh my god Rachel! Are you okay?" I laugh and say,"I'm ok, are you?" She says,"Yeah, but you have a black eye and bloody nose." I chuckle and say,"I'll live Stevie." The lunch bell then rings and I say,"I have to go get my stuff but I'll see you later." She smiles and says,"Thank you again Rachel." I nod and I go over to my group to pick up my stuff. I then start to walk towards my next class. I see Sarah walk up to me and I sigh quietly. She says,"So, you're the new school fighter huh?" I say,"Yeah totally. I was just protecting Stevie." Sarah says,"I know. I saw the fight. I was there. Although I'm worried about you. Black eye and bloody nose, still gotta look good for soccer." Was Sarah flirting with me? I chuckle and say,"Yeah. You should come watch me, you could be a fan." Sarah smiles and says,"Sure. What time?" I say,"3:15. See you then?" She smiles and says,"Yep." She then walks to her class and I keep walking towards mine, getting numerous looks and people shouting at me saying I'm a badass or something. Today did not feel real at all, especially because of what happened this morning. I get to my class, which is ceramics, and I put down my stuff and get my apron on. I clean my nose up again and it has stopped bleeding. I then sit down at my station and begin.
*2 hours later...*
The final bell rings and I walk out of film class. School was finally over. Thank god. I go to my locker and put my books in my locker, remembering that Sarah was coming to my practice. I go to the bathroom and change into my soccer uniform and get my cleats on. I then over hear Stevie's group,"Let's go to the girls soccer practice. We can wait for her after and see if she wants to join us." And great, I'm still being talked about. I wait for them to leave and then walk out the bathroom. I see Sarah talking to one of her teachers and she then sees me. She finishes up her conversation and walks towards me. She says,"Hey, told ya I'd come." I chuckle and say,"I know, I know. Come on let's go, I don't wanna be late." We walk towards the field and most of the girls are there already. I put my hair in a bun while we are still walking towards the field, but I see all of Stevie and Ally's friends. Sarah whispers,"Did you tell them to come?" I whisper back,"No, no idea why they're here. I still need to go practice, and come on, just stick with me." She nods and we walk closer together. We finally get the field and no one really pays attention to us thank goodness. Sarah says,"I'm gonna sit on the sideline with a few people, but I'll be watching." I blush and say,"Okay." She smiles and I go onto the field. Was Sarah flirting with me actually? Or just being really nice? Or using me to get to Stevie? My head was swarming with these thoughts until I heard my name being called by my coach. I then see Stevie and Ally walk onto the field holding hands, and it still hurts a little.

Woah this was a big update!  So maybe Rachel isn't as bad as I thought... And what is Sarah up to? Sorry being radio silent, but I will try and update again this week, but I can't promise.
