Chapter One - She's Gone

I looked up at Adrian and asked softly "did you find her?"

He didn't reply, his gaze was fixed down onto the brown cheetah carpet that lay beneath my coffee table.

"Adrian, do you have any news of her?" I asked slightly raising my voice feeling anger slowly growing inside of me.

He shook his head and I saw a painful expression appear on his face.

"She's gone!"

My world came crashing down in seconds.

She's gone, how, how could she just leave me like that!

She can't!

She promised she wouldn't leave me!

This isn't true.

I refuse.

I refuse to believe it!

"You're lying" I growled at Adrian

He walked up towards me and gripped onto my shoulders shaking me back and forth like I wasn't awake.

"Lying, what would I achieve by lying to you. She's gone Xavier wake up and accept the truth. She's not coming back anytime soon! It's been 6 months now Xavier since she's left. 6 damn months, why won't you understand. She was with you for seven long years and not once did she ever commit to you fully, not once did she agree to marry you, she never loved you Xavier, why don't you get it, she was just playing you!"

She was just playing you!

I was boiling, my anger just rising up towards the surface but I pushed it back and replied to Adrian "she loved me, she couldn't of think of playing me, she was confused about marriage because her own two lovable parents broke apart which crashed her world that's why she was afraid of commitment that time that's the only reason she didn't want to get married, you don't know anything so don't you dare accuse her of leaving and not loving me!!"

"The truth is right in front of you Xavier, she loved you so much that she left you, there's no news of her, where she went, how she is. It's been 6 months and she still hasn't returned or left you at least one decent message saying she's alive. That's love Xavier, that's real love" he replied sarcastically clapping his hands together.
