Chapter 3:My reunion with sting

Just after Natsu got killed and Zeref had cast the spell.

Zeref sat by a river. He was thinking.

'It's good my spell was successful, but Natsu would be awfully alone. He'd have his teen mind in a child's body, he won't be able to make any friends even if I made him act more like his age.'

He sighed. 'I need to let one of his friends be reborn as well... I can't let the blond girl or Titania be reborn. They'll lose all their keys and armor so that would be just selfish of me. The ice wizard? No. they'd just keep fighting with each other.'

And like that he named every guild member of Fairy Tail, but with every single one of them there came a reason he shouldn't chose them. So. Maybe someone from a different guild? It has to be a friend. Someone who'd do anything for Natsu and worship's him. And with that thought his eyes shot open. He slammed his fist in the palm of his other hand.

"Of course! The blond from Sabretooth!" and with that he stood up and made his way towards the Sabretooth guild.

'He's perfect! Well he is a guild master... but it's nothing his friends won't be able to take care of. And that little cat seems to like Happy so they could be some sort of comfort for each other.'

Sting was laying asleep in his office in the guild hall. He had a lot of paperwork done but was too tired to return home. No one would have seen the person standing next to the sleeping master, casting a spell on Sting and letting his soul leave his body. He didn't even notice anything. People would think he just died peacefully in his sleep, thinking his hart just stopped. Stuff like that happens so people would just leave it like that.

Zeref was sweating, he had to put more effort in this spell. He had to make sure Sting's new parents would live close to Natsu's. And he needed to make sure Sting was born earlier than Natsu. With a few months in advance he'd be able to protect Natsu more easily. And let's not forget Natsu should be able to recognize him, so he had to look the same and he'll have to manipulate the parent's minds to name him Sting.

A few years later, Sting just turned 4 and Natsumi is 3.

Sting was walking around in the library. The town they lived in was known for it. They collected everything. Even the records of magazines. Which was exactly what he was looking for.

He still didn't understand how he got reborn. So he was researching in Sorcerer's weekly. Just a couple of weeks ago he read an article staring about his death. It seemed like Natsu died on the same night. It made Sting sad to know Natsu was no more. But he had a little hope Natsu was in the same situation.

Right now he was looking for a particular issue, one starring the article of how Sabretooth and Fairy Tail joined forces and were now under the same guild master, but still managed to be recognized as separate guilds. He had caught a glimpse of the issue last week he was here with his parents so he knew exactly where it was.

But when he came to the right shelf. It wasn't there.

He counted the issues next to where it was supposed to be. The numbers were right, so that meant someone already took it. But who?

He sighed, he'll just have to wait until he came back with his parents next week. But just when he wanted to walk away he caught a glimpse of something in the corner.

There in the corner sat a girl around his (new) age. He started to blush as he took her appearance in. She was so pretty! Her hair was that like sakura blossom, but slightly darker. She was wearing a white scarf around her neck even though it was summer. She had a dark blue dress on with gold/yellow stripes at the end. And at her feet were simple black loafers. She was looking down so he couldn't see her face that well. But from what he saw she was beautiful. With the hair and the scarf she reminded him of Natsu.

Natsu...

His eyes widened. Maybe he did have the same fate! He could've been reborn as this girl. But he couldn't just walk up to her and ask if she was his friend from a past life! She'd think he's weird if she wasn't! And he didn't want to take the risk. He could already say he had fallen for the girl. So if she wasn't Natsu he'd still try to get to know her.

But then he saw why her head was tilted down. She was reading something. He squinted his eyes to see what she was reading. It was the issue he looked for. Perfect! Now he had something to start a conversation with.

And he walked towards the girl. When he stood in front of her she hadn't noticed him. So he had to get her attention.

"Hay."

She looked up and he felt his breath stop. She even had Natsu's eyes. And she looked so much like Natsu.

She gave a goofy smile and he could see the sharp teeth which Natsu also had.

"Hello!"

Sting was definitely convinced this girl was him. But just to be sure.

"Can you read?"

'Natsu' put the magazine down for a second to give him her full attention.

"Aye. Can you?"

Sting nodded, and 'Natsu' spoke again. "I didn't know little kids could read."

"But you're the same age as me."

She laughed and scratched the back of her head. "Yeah, I guess that's true."

Sting started to sweat. He just had to know! "A-are you N-Natsu?" he stuttered.

CRAP! So far for being normal for this girl. Just look at her reaction she looked at him like he was an idiot. He looked down and his hands started to shake. He felt almost too embarrassed!

"Sting?"

His head shot up and he looked at the girl. She stood up and he noticed she was slightly shorter than he was. And she took a close look at his face. And before he knew it she had taken a hold of his left arm and pushed his sleeve up so his shoulder was bare. The girl's eyes widened when she saw his birthmark and she hugged him.

"It is you!"

Both of them couldn't describe their happiness. Not only were they not alone in this, but they also found each other!

Natsu let go and sat down again as she pulled him down to sit next to her. And just like that they started talking.

Sting noticed she acted a bit more like her new age just like he did, she also acted a bit more like a girl but he guessed that just came with it.

"Do you live here in town?" Natsu asked.

Sting nodded. "Yeah! Do you Natsu?"

"Aye! But I'm called Natsumi now. But you can still can me Natsu. I haven't been called that for awhile."

sting and natsumi sat down at a table and started to talk about their parents and what they are going to plan how to get back to their guilds. sting said his parents name are Marc and Sarah.and natsumi said her parents name are Jill and Richard
