Can we go back now? I promise to be quiet. I'll just play with my toys." Begged Natsumi while sitting on Laxus' shoulders. Laxus looked at the time. "I guess we can go back. It's lunchtime soon."
"Fooooood~!" Cheered Natsumi while pulling on Laxus' hair. He winced and Natsumi let go. "Sorry Laxus." She said and patted his head, forgetting how strong she actually was for a five year old.
Natsumi wished she hadn't wanted to go back. Why? Because the new edition of Sorcerer's weekly arrived. And EVERYONE in the WHOLE guild was looking at the pictures.
The picture everyone found the 'cutest' was the one where Natsumi was holding hands with Erza and Lucy with a huge happy smile planted on her face. Other pictures were of her being either cute or showing off her magic she can control so far.
Mira even called Jason to come back tonight for the parade because Sabretooth would come to watch. And that she wanted Jason to make some pictures of Natsumi and Sting together. But to keep it a secret of course.
On the Sabretooth pictures she saw that Sting seemed to enjoy being back with his friends. And his pictures were pretty much the same. Natsumi sighed, sorcerer's weekly really needed to do something new.
She couldn't wait to see Sting tonight. And of course her other friends from Fairy Tail, this would be their first time seeing each other since they returned to their own guilds.
While Natsumi was thinking about tonight, she held the magazine in the fire of a candle and ate the fire coming from it. If she'll destroy it she might as well do something useful with it.
She looked around and saw some of her nakama practicing a routine for tonight. Gray and Juvia were practicing to use their magic together. Erza kept reequipping in new armor she thought would be the best. And Lucy was talking with some of her spirits about their own little plan.
Natsumi had finished her fire when she had an idea. She slipped of her chair as quiet as possible so Laxus wouldn't notice and crept behind Juvia, she waited for the right moment to make Juvia trip and fall right on top of Gray.
But it didn't work out as Natsumi hoped. Juvia just apologized and Gray helped her up. And just with that they went on with their routine. Natsumi shook her head. This was going to be tough.
"What are you doing?"
Natsumi turned around and saw Laxus with crossed arms looking down on her. Natsumi let out a small laugh and scratched the back of her head.
"L-Laxus, I'm just playing a bit."
Laxus wanted to say he didn't believe her and that she should just say what she was really doing, but after thinking a bit he decided he'd rather not get dragged into this.
"Well you promised to play peacefully and quiet with your toys. Not with whatever you were doing." He said.
"Aye." And Natsumi walked back to their own table thinking Laxus was either lazy to scold her or just an idiot for believing her.
She sat back down and Laxus sat down next to her. In the seats across from them was the Thunder God Tribe. She picked up one of the story books she took from the infirmary and handed it to Freed.
"Will you read it to me please Freed-chan~?" She asked with puppy eyes.
It was an hour until the parade began and our friends from Sabretooth arrived. Sting and Natsumi were both coloring when Natsumi suddenly spoke. "Sting do you have a feeling you forgot something? Like, something we had learned in our past life."
She had expected for him to answer with a no. but he didn't. "I actually do. But I can't place it."
"Do you think it's important?" Natsumi asked while coloring a cat blue.
"Not really. Otherwise we would've known by now." Sting said with a shrug and went back to coloring another cat red.
Nobody noticed a certain reporter trying to hide around the corner while making pictures of the two children. Except Gajeel who threw him out. Literally. He even shaped his hand as a hammer and swung it at the guy.
"Gajeel what are you doing?" Rogue asked. When Gajeel told him poor Jason had to feel the wrath of every overprotective wizard from both guilds.
"Pretty~!"
Natsumi and Sting were each sitting on Laxus shoulders, admiring the parade.
"Next year I'm going to join to!" Natsumi cheered while watching Gray making beautiful ice sculptures along with Juvia.
"And I'll be watching!" Sting cheered along.
Laxus just let out a chuckle. It was almost too easy to entertain these two.
"It seems you're having a good time princess." A familiar voice said.
Natsumi jumped of Laxus his shoulder and ran into her father's arms. "Daddy!"
Richard spun Natsumi around. And then he hugged her close. "How much fun did you had princess?" He asked
Natsumi held her hands as far apart as possible. "This much!"
She looked around. "Where's mommy?" Her father's face had a little frown but he kept his smile for his little girl.
"She was called for another job princess, she'll be back the day after tomorrow." He said.
"Okay." Natsumi looked a bit sad and looked at her feet. Sting decided it was his job to cheer her up now. So he jumped of Laxus' shoulders as well.
"Cheer up Natsu! The parade is still going on. And I was staying with Rogue at an inn. But maybe I can stay at your house?" he said.
Natsumi's eyes lit up and she looked at her father. "Can he?"
Richard wanted to say no, he still didn't like how a boy was so close to his daughter. But it might be for the best right now. So he held in his anger, "Sure Princess."
