"Please don't do this. This isn't you, you know it isn't. We can fix this, Cas. Please, I need you."

He starts to bring the blade down onto me. My eyes were going dark as he squeezed my throat tighter, the last thing i could see was my first blade close to my face.

"Damn it Cas, I love you!"

When i got back to my flat, my empty and cold flat, i found a small note written to me inside my bedroom. I was afraid to pick it up as i knew exactly who it was from. Lucifer.

I walk over to it and pick it up anyway, my hands trembling and i hold the note in my hand. On it was an address of where he wanted me to go. My first though was that there was no way i was going to sleep this town. I had to wait for Dean. But the more i thought of it, the more I knew that going to Detroit would be my best chance at finding out who i truly was.

Finding out what i was truly capable of. I had to stop living a lie. I crumpled the note up in my hand and stuffed it into my pocket before looking around the almost empty flat. All i needed where some clothes and a bit of money. And Dean would be able to find me once he got out of purgatory and hell, i was sure of it.

On a whim, i started packing. I knew that i was crazy for doing so but i had to find out the whole truth. The Devil's son? Surely he was messing with me because a priest should not have been so involved with a demon. It had to be something like that.

I pack a bag quickly and walk straight back out of my flat, locking the door before patting the door goodbye and walking down all those flights of stairs that i never did come accustomed to. I walk towards me beaten down yellowish car and get in, slamming the squeaky door shut before looking up at my block of flats again.

Then i drive away, to Detroit, a place where i had no idea what was going to happen and no clue if i was ever going to come back from it.

****

It was a mess. I don't know what i expected really. Maybe i thought that the devil would set me up in a nice mansion somewhere but nope. The flat that he had set me up in was far worse then the one i had just come from. Only a single bed, a dirty kitchen and hardly a living room. I dared not even go into the bathroom because i didn't want to even think about what was going to be rotting in the toilet.

I sigh and put down my luggage, looking around the dirty place before setting my ass down on the crinkly stained sofa, staring blankly at the wall in front of me. I was barely there half an hour when the whole place chilled and i started shivering.

"Figures." I murmur to myself. "This place doesn't even have good central heating."

I stand up to turn up the thermostat only to jump back and yelp slightly at the sight of the devil leaning against the kitchen door way, his arms crossed and his eyes boring into me.

"Holy s-"

"Guess again. Wow, i didn't think you'd actually show up." He snickered and circled me, looking me up and down.

"Yeah, well i'm here now so it's now time for you to give me some answers." I say, trying to be brave by my voice comes out as weak and shaky. I mentally slap myself for showing any sign of weakness to him. He just smiles and stops directly in front of me, looking down at me with a raised eyebrow and an amused expression.

"Now now, Castiel. All in good time. Did you know that the angel your named after was a dear friend of mine. His name was actually Cassiel, but instead of following me to war like the rest of my dear fallen friends, he decided to choose to live on earth and be at one with humanity. As far as i can tell i think he is married and now has two beautiful young children with a human."
