It was my third day in Ivywood, and the day I decided to learn more about the town. I wore a cropped loose black tank top with some random bands name on it, a pair of grey shorts and a blue oversized flannel left unbuttoned. I didn't bother to do anything to my hair, leaving it messy and unruly.

I closed out the computer at the Library I had spent the day gathering research at. I made my way into the parking lot, looking down at my watch to find that it was a lot later than I expected. The fact that it was almost the evening didn't worry me, what really worried me was what lurked around after the sun went down. My eyes searched the parking lot, checking my surroundings.

I unlocked my car, climbing into it and quickly closing and locking the door before sitting back and sighing.

"Hm you seem tense."

"HOLY FUCK." I screeched. I was actually kind of embarrassed I yelled those words of all words... I looked into my rear view mirror to find a smirking Alexandre Baldassarre just hanging out in my backseat. He laughed, and it was ironically angelic. He climbed over onto the passenger seat, a huge smile gracing his lips. This was probably the first time I had ever witnessed such a site, despite being completely shocked from fear. Nothing could compare to this oversized, godly vampire climbing over the seat of my tiny car. He sat down into the passenger seat, pulling out his cell phone. "You can drive home now. I saw your death trap of a car and decided we needed to talk."

I stared at him, not understanding how he had expected me to respond. I simply turned my head to face forward and started my car. I pulled out of the parking lot and began the ten minute drive home. I didn't utter a word as I drove, focusing on the road.

"I make you nervous." He stated, sending me a lazy stare as he lounged in his seat. I ignored his stare, turning onto the Main Street.

"What do you want?" I narrowed my eyes at him before flicking back to the road.

"It has come to my attention that you have been in contact with the Ambrogio." He stated, not really asking if it was true or not.

"Met that dude at a club, said hi. No harm done." I don't know why I was defending my action. I didn't have an answer to anyone, especially vampires who stalk people and wait in their cars.

"We are here." I said, pulling up to the cottage.

He laughed once again. "You think I'm done with you?"

"I wish you were." I muttered, mainly to myself. He smirked at me, obviously finding humor in the fact that he had been making me miserable. I climbed out of my car, heading up to the steps of the cottage with him following close behind. Rosemae's car was missing, meaning that she wasn't home. I unlocked door and made my way inside, not caring that Alexandre hadnt followed me in.

"Are you coming in?" I asked, confused.

"You must invite me in. Normally I only need to be invited in once, but rose has enchanted the place to where I need permission... Everytime." He explained.

"In that case, bye!" My face lit up with a smile, realizing I was safe for the moment. He glared at me while I laughed at his expense. "Just kidding, come on in."

He stepped inside the house, a deadly look in his eyes. "Smart decision."

"Yeah, yeah." I waved a hand dismissively. "So what's up?"

He cringed at my informal language before he began to speak "I'm going to need you to swear your allegiance to the Baldassarre."

"I thought I needed to be proven trustworthy?" I asked while I made my way to the staircase that led to my room, Alexandre right behind me.

"You can prove you're trustworthy by swearing yourself to me."

"To you? Specifically you?" I entered my bedroom, which still needed tons of work. I didn't really care that the place was a mess and a regal vampire coven King was in my bedroom.

"I am the Baldassarre." He smirked. Alexandre was pure evil, and every single one of my instincts was telling me to run and get away from him as fast as I could. But there was that one part of me who didn't want to be apart from him.

"First you don't want me and now that the Ambrogio are interested you suddenly want me?" I sighed, tired.

"I don't want anything from you. I just need your loyalty. I'm going to keep my eye on you, witch." His smile was wickedly beautiful. It killed me to think how someone so beautiful to be so evil.

"I'll think about it. Right now I'm going to sleep." I grabbed my pajamas, a pair of cotton shorts and a tshirt, and going into the bathroom to change.

When I came out, Alexandre was still there, messing around with the stuff in my room. I ignored him, sitting on my bed with a sigh. He sat down on my bed, bouncing up and down a bit.

"I guess I'll let you sleep. I have somewhere I have to be anyway." He smirked. In the blink of an eye he was suddenly gone.

Why were both covens now suddenly so interested in me?
