I sat on the stool at the strange diner I had found in the city. A pair of oversized wannabe Chanel sunglasses perched on my nose as I attempted to go undercover as if I was in a detective. What was I doing? Why was I being a complete creep? The answer is simple, I was on look out for Aden as she went on a date with Cain Ambrogio. She was finally ungrounded and begged me to be her look out for the day as they went into the city today. I picked her up early that morning and we drove an hour away from Ivywood to the closest city where she wouldn't have to worry about someone seeing them.

There wasn't really much I had to do, just watch out for the two most feared leaders in Ivywood, as if they would just magically be in the same place at the same time as Aden and Cain. I highly doubted the vampires would be in the city when they were constantly fighting over control of Ivywood.

"Well look who it is." I spoke too soon. I whipped my head around so fast my sunglasses almost went flying off as my eyes met those of Alexandre's. He smirked as he took in my surprised expression, purposely meaning to catch me off guard.

"What are you doing here?" It came out as if I was making a demand instead of asking.

"I could ask the same thing." He remained calm and collected, his tone remaining the same. Alexandre Baldassarre was breathtaking. I found myself taking in his clothing- the fitted black designers suit that probably cost more than my car, and leaving him looking extremely out of place in the diner. His long Raven hair has been pulled back behind his slightly pointed vampire ears, causing the high cheekbones to stand out even more. He glanced down at the Hublot watch on his wrist before looking back up at me. "Like what you see?"

His hand hovered on my waist, traveling down and resting onto my hip, fireworks going off in my stomach much to my dismay. I blushed from having been caught checking out but ignored his words. I narrowed my eyes at him. "Hands to yourself buddy."

He smirked, devilishly. "Why should I?"

"Because you can't go around touching people who don't want to be touch." I shoved his hand off of me as I spoke. "Especially by you."

"But you want to be touched." He purred, a sound so seductive you would think he was an incubus. Deep down, I knew he wasn't lying. There was some twisted part of me that wanted to be touched by him. I shot him a dirty look while quickly pulling out my cellphone to warn Aden of her brothers presence.

Please keep him distracted! - Aden

"Where's Aden? Isn't she suppose to be with you today?" He asked, suspicion in his eyes.

"She's trying on clothes at some shop. I was hungry so I came here." I lied smoothly. Alexandre raised an eyebrow, probably not believing a word I said.

"Somehow, I do not trust you still." He chuckled. I rolled my eyes, which caused me to receive a glare and a low growl from him.

"You know, for someone who wants me to join his coven you aren't the nicest." I began, casually admiring my chipped nail polish. "I would think that you would be trying to butter me up."

"Butter you up? You want me to woo you?"

"Yes." I smirked, challenging the vampire. He smirked right back at me, as if he was going to accept the challenge.

"Oh little witch, you have no idea what you are getting yourself into. Let's just hope you can figure out how to get out." His reached forward and allowed his fingers to trail down the side of my face. "I'm going to figure out what Aden is up to sooner or later."

With that he turned and strutted out of the diner. I quickly pulled out my phone, shooting a quick SOS to Aden. I called over my sever so that I could pay my tab and leave.

"Oh darlin, that handsome man paid your bill for you already." She winked at me, popping her bubble gum loudly as she spoke. I fought back a scowl, realizing that the handsome man had been Alexandre.

After dropping Aden off at the Baldassarre Manor, I finally arrived home right before the sun fell. I walked up the steps to find an envelope with Valencia written in red on it. I picked up the envelope, and decided to immediately open it before going inside.

I'm going to drain you of power and then I will drain you of every single drop of blood.

Neither the Baldassarre or Ambrogio can save you.

What the fuck? I furrowed my eyebrows. I had been in this god forsaken town for less than a month and I already had a death threat sent to me?

Someone was messing with me and I was going to find out who.
