I can remember everything about the day I found Bella Ly. I was doing my normal reading on my swing when I got distracted. I was about fifteen, I was outgrowing books. I wanted an adventure. I heard rustling from the woods. The sun wasn’t completely out, but it never is where we’re located. I walked toward the woods. My parents didn’t really care about me, or what I did.

When I got closer I heard a growl. I figured it was a lost puppy. I moved closer softly saying “Here puppy, it’s okay, I won’t hurt you. I promise.” It didn’t move any closer, it just kept growling and then I heard rustling and the growling stopped. I ran after whatever it was. I saw a white tail and I tried keeping up. I ran and ran. My legs were soar and I could barely breathe but I didn’t see a dog. In the middle of an amazing looking field I saw a girl.

This girl was nude. I was stunned. Her back was bleeding and she had her hands holding herself. I’d never seen anything like this. I walked closer to her. I didn’t even realize how close I was until I was right above her.

“Are you okay?” I asked.

“Leave me alone.” she said. Her voice was soft, but harsh.

“But you’re hurt.” I said. I think subconsciously I wanted to see more of her body. I was a fifteen year old boy, it was a typical feeling.

“No I’m not. I need you to get out of here!”

“I’m not going anywhere. Why don’t you come home with me?”

“I can’t you need to forget about me.”

“I can’t.”

“Well you need to.” the girl said getting up slowly, and running away.

As she ran I noticed she had cuts all over her feet and her body was bruised. I needed to know more about this girl, so I ran after her. I don’t even know how long I ran for, but it felt like a very long time. I ran until it felt like my lungs were going to explode. I had no clue how to even get back to my house.

“I told you to forget about me.” a familiar voice said from out of no where.

“”I can’t. I told you that.”

“ Stop being asinine.”

‘I don’t even know what it means…”

“You should, I see what you read.”

“How do you know what I read?”

“I get bored sometimes and watching you passes the time.”

“Well if watching me passes the time, why don’t we hangout.”

“No. You need to stop following me. I’ll tell you what, turn around,”

I turned around.

“Now, close your eyes and I’ll come out.” the girl said

“How will you know if I close my eyes?” I asked.

“ I have to trust you, now close your eyes.”

I closed my eyes. I heard her footsteps, they were very very quiet. “Now I’m going to put my hands on your eyes, and I’m going to tell you to do something, and you will listen.”

I nodded. She put her hands on my eyes. They were cold, freezing cold. “I want you to count to one thousand, and don’t stop walking until you get to that number, but you need to keep your eyes closed.” she ordered.

“What if I run into a tree?”

“Unless you’re so obtuse to not feel around for your surroundings then you’ll be fine. Now go.”

I heard her run.
