I was always a big fan of John. I loved him at one point. He was a few years older than I was and he was beautiful. Dirty blonde hair, dark green eyes… he and I kissed once…
“How’s he doing?” Alec said. His facial expression showed unending pain.
“Fine, I don’t really see him too much anymore.”
“Why is that?”
“Something went down between us.”
“Could I ask what?”
“Tell me what you were thinking about first.”
“Alright.” and he told me the story of how him and John were the adventurous brothers. It was heart breaking, I was with Natalie when she turned John. I could’ve saved Alec the pain of loss.
“Don’t you dare!” I commanded Natalie. She had an almost white coat because of how blonde her fur was. She and I were hunting and we weren’t having any luck. That’s when we smelled two boys. She’s a vicious hunter, when she’s set on killing something she will do it, no matter the cost. I saw a little boy jumping up and down, then leaving. Natalie lowered herself towards the floor, then pounced. The older boy screamed and punched Natalie’s muzzle. He was good, I had to admit that. Natalie squealed and I pushed her body up with my own muzzle. We ran away for another meal, and I heard the deeper voice comfort the little boy as he returned.
“I’m sorry I didn’t stop Natalie.” I told Alec softly.
“Excuse me?”
“I was with her when she attacked him. That night I new he would change, so I went by that place you two were staying at, and I took him. I told him that he would only survive if he came with me.”
“What happened to the two of you? I told you my story with him. Now it’s your turn.”
I hated reliving these memories, they hurt a lot. “Okay well Lea made me in charge of taking care of him, Natalie couldn’t believe what she had done. She couldn’t even look at John. Whenever he was with me she would leave the room. So here it started. I told him about all the legends that weren’t true, and the ones that were. I’ll tell you about the legends in a little bit, if you want,”
Alec nodded but stayed silent, waiting me to finish my story about John.
“John and I spent every waking moment together, we hunted together and when we were humans we went everywhere together. It was like I was living in a fantasy. He seemed to like me too, but none of us imprinted on each other. I’ll explain that now I guess. So imprinting is the process where you sort of call your mate, so the other wolves aren’t allowed imprint on that same wolf because you’ve called her or him. If they imprint back then you mate, and you can either mate as humans or as wolves, which ever you prefer or can handle. Then you’re together, forever. John asked me on a date as a wolf. He took me to that field you found me in. And then it got too cold and we turned into humans. There we were in the middle of that field, naked. He had a gorgeous body… and I felt very self-conscious being with him, naked. He came over to me, he sensed that I was uncomfortable. He stroked my face, and we stared into each other’s eyes for a long time. Then I pursed my lips and he put his lips to mine. It was fantastic until we became too hot. It started with us just kissing and then he started pushing his lips harder against mine and I did it back. We made noises with our kisses, it was like nothing I’ve ever felt. Then he put my on the ground on my back, and he started being more forceful, and I knew he wouldn’t stop because he couldn’t control his blood pressure, and then he turned into a wolf. He was embarrassed and I don’t blame him, but he and I haven’t really spent much time alone after that.”
“I’m sorry things didn’t work out with John.” Alec said avoiding my eyes, they must’ve been changing color.
“Did you ever fall in love?”
