Chapter 14: Bella Ly

"What did you just say?" I said in this sort of annoyed confused voice to Alec.

"Am I supposed to hear you?" He was hesitant while talking, and I didn't blame him alot had happened that he wasn't prepared for.

"No, you're not supposed to. What did you hear?" Lea said.

"You were fighting about how Natalie had no right to get mad or attack me. And Lea wanted the both of you to calm down."

I was shocked. I had never met a human who was able to do that. How was it possible that he heard us?

"Please sit," Lea gestured. We sat. "Alec, have you ever been bitten before?"

"No. Not by a wolf anyway. I'd never seen a wolf in real life up until I moved here."

"Isabella told me that you were adopted. Do you remember anything about your real parents?"

"No. I try to block those things out."

"I'm going to need you to try to recollect those things for me Alec."

"NO!" I yelled. Lea and the whole rest of the pack shot me looks. "Alec was through hell with those people. It isn't right for him to have to remember those terrible things just because of your selfishness!"

"Bella Ly, calm down." Alec said so only I could hear. He was right, I was shaking and I didn't want to shift in front of him again.

John sat next to Alec and put his hand on his shoulder."How've you been little guy? You've grown up alot."

"It's been five years, people change alot."

"Don't be so harsh Alec. I like my life as a wolf, it's amazing."

"You left me."

"I had no choice."

"You didn't even wake me up to say goodbye. Do you know how depressed I was!? How much you ruined my life after you left?"

The whole pack was trying not to stare. John remained calm, he was always good with his temper. Alec was the one who, if he were a wolf, would have shifted.

"I didn't want to Alec, I loved you like a brother, even like a son. Which sounds ridiculous since we were only a few years apart."

"We're five years apart, shows just how much you can't rely on people."

"Don't you act like this is my fault. That becoming a wolf was my choice! Because it wasn't, stop feeling sorry for yourself and act like a fifteen year old." John wasn't shaking, but Natalie went to his side, just in case she needed to calm him down.

"You should've come back for me. You chose her," Alec said pointing to Natalie. "over me, your brother, even someone who you saw as your son."

"I didn't want to leave you. I wasn't allowed to see you Alec. That's why I never came back."

This is when I interjected."Alec, he really did want to see you. I was the one who wouldn't allow it. Along with Lea, she told us that meeting humans wouldn't help us, they would kill us if they knew."
