-Chapter Twenty-Two-

-Alan's POV-

A Month Later...Or Something

Everything in the car was dead silent. Fray was beyond pissed as he gripped the steering wheel with his death grip until his fingers were molding into it meanwhile Ciel sat in the passenger's seat more than bubbly as he munched on some trail mix. Oh the hormonal irony...It was clear that Fray didn't want his pregnant partner anywhere near the Council and it was even clearer that being pregnant made Ciel mental. Ciel had gone into a rage yesterday and trashed everything in sight and today? Well he's been a bubbly character from some demonic show munching on everything in sight. Deep inside...or maybe not so deep inside I was hoping that Kendal never ever got pregnant, that would kill me.

But I don't know why I was worried; we had been safe every time. Or I think we had. Had we?! Something drove me to poke Kendal's rib cage and he looked over at me with a look that said, "What do you want? Isn't it bad enough the driver wants to kill us all and Ciel is pregnant, now you want to get chatty?"

I mumbled something very, and I am not exaggerating when I say very, lowly so that future America's Most Wanted and Mr. Sunshine couldn't hear a thing. But apparently neither did Kendal, who made me want to slam my face down into Fray's seat, but something told me that would be the death of me so I sustained myself from doing so. I didn't know why I didn't drop it what I asked Kendal again and he gave me the same puzzled look...he hadn't heard a word I said. Oh flipping great. Just great.

"Last time we...uhh, you know...did we use protection?" I mumbled into his ear and he finally gave me a stunned look as if saying, "Are you really asking this now?"

But suddenly everything was deathly silent, Fray wasn't squeezing the steering wheel to its death and Ciel had stopped munching on his trail mix. Fray's eyes weren't on the road; they were strictly on Ciel, who had whipped around almost invisibly to glare at me. Kendal was blushing to a crimson shade.

I coughed silently and mumbled an apology to Ciel, I hadn't meant to offend him, but something about having Kendal pregnant in a situation like this would make me want to lock him up in a vault. I hadn't the slightest idea of how Fray was managing right now. Ciel finally turned back and continued to munch and Fray's eyes returned to the road. I could feel we were almost at our destination.

Today we weren't going to face the Council or anything of a sort, no, today we were going to be moving into a cabin out in the middle of nowhere owned my Ciel's uncles. His uncles thought it would be good it we separated ourselves from our families to avoid bringing danger to them. We had all agreed and of course, Fray had put up one hell of a fight about his child being family and not wanting it around, therefore Ciel couldn't be around in the time of the battle. If you saw Ciel's face you'd cower...He looked so pissed off when Fray had said that and in everyone's surprise had burst into tears asking Fray why he didn't want him around anymore, and what he'd done wrong. All our jaws dropped and Hunter had smirked while Fray had been smitten by him and told him he could come along. Only, it he stayed in the cabin the entire time, Ciel had surprisingly agreed and both Hunter and Zack had thought it was a great idea, considering they themselves had charmed the cabin so that it couldn't be found by anyone who meant harm to us.

We finally got there and both the twins were standing there waiting, Hunter was looking impatient.

"Where the hell have you guys been?" Hunter demanded.
