As long as Bunnymund can remember, there was only one question in his mind: How on earth did she knew about the warren? He certainly did not told her about the whole Guardians of Childhood 'thing', so how?
But now, more questions clouded his mind.
So many, what's, why's and how's questions invaded his mind, evolving around the strange huntress he met in the woods.
Bunnymund tried to distract himself by tossing his boomerang in the air and catching it again. He did that several times. But suddenly, he remembered that Venus could wield a boomerang better than him, like, when she tried to shoot a poor spider clambering up the tree and succeeded. Or like the time she tossed his boomerang somewhere and it came back with a vine of grapes intertwined in it.
He was so confused at was happening... Maybe it's just some hallucinations or tricks in the woods or he's just imagining it... But then again it felt and looked so real.
He's not sure what to believe...
...
Well Venus didn't exactly say, not to come back in that place, sooo... With that hopeful thought, Bunnymund hopped towards the other direction— the direction to the woods.
Bunnymund perfecly remembered the way to Venus's treehouse, every turn, every path. But once he reached his destination all he saw made his heart shatter. Right infront of him, was a broken down treehouse. Every window smashed, every wall torned apart. Bunnymund slowly and hesitantly walked towards the treehouse. He put his paw up at the door and gave it a gentle push. But instead of opening like a normal door would do, the hinges gave up making the door fall vertically with a loud THUMP!
...Darkness...
"Bloody hell, I couldn' see a thin' in here..." He murmurred as he squinted his emerald green eyes.. Then a light started to gleam, luminating the whole room. He looked back and saw the moon. Bunnymund smiled at the moon then returned his search.
All the furniture in the room were either tossed carelessly in a corner or in pieces, he nearly broke down into tears at the sight, then something suddenly snapped in his mind.
Venus...
He quickly hopped to the room where the huntress stayed in, only to find it in the same condition as the other rooms.
Bunnymund couldn't believe it. The one person (or mortal) who truly acknowledge him for who he was, gone. POOF!!! Just like that.
Bunnymund was about to leave until his eye caught something glimmering under Venu's blanket. Without hesitation he pulled off the blankets and there revealed a silver chain bracelet with 3 silver charms— a Hawk, a Rose and a Sun.
...3 charms...
...3 meanings...
Bunnymund left with a heavy heart, his mind swarming with thoughts and emotions. He looked back once more at the mysterious woods, where he laughed, shed tears and made memories with the strange yet enchanting huntress, Venus, then he made a tunnel that leads to his underground paradise.
Bunnymund hopped his way to his warren, wanting to think all the events that happened to him in peace. But as he hopped through his tunnels he couldn't get the weird tingling feeling in the pit of his stomach.
Bunnymund (finally) reached his destination, and he was immediately greeted with little unpainted eggs hopping up and down excitedly and the stone Sentinels. He smiled slightly at the sight but his smile quickly disappeared. If Venus was still here, he would take her to see the warren which he knew that she would love...
