"Venus... She's alive!"
They looked behind them to see Mellie crying, not tears of sorrow; tears of joy. Everyone in the control cheered in joy. Hope was not lost after all!
"I just knew it, Venus would never stop without a fight!" Mellie exclaimmed then she turned to the elders, "we must find her and bring her back!"
"But Mellie, going to the Netherworlds and coming back out alive, it's impossible," one of the elders told her making her shoulders slump down in realization.
"Angels and Spirits harness light and you know how they hate light, they could easily detect us. And we are in no shape for war," another elder told Mellie. And the whole room started arguing that it was going to take a miracle to come back there alive.
But Tooth responded with a, "nothing is impossible when you believe," then she looked at her fellow Guardians for them to follow.
"Venus is our friend, we would do anything to bring her back!" Jack exclaimed.
Then Bunny went infront of Mellie and pleaded, on his knees "Yes! Please, let us save her, we're the reason why Venus is down there, right now. Please give me one last chance and I promise I will never hurt her ever again, for the rest of my life, as long as I live. Please, I'm begging you... I just want to make it right this time..." Mellie found herself being guilty at what she had said to him, not too long ago. He was pleading, on his knees! To bring Venus back, he wanted to prove himself right to them. He finally understood his mistake. They all did.
Mellie rubbed her arm before saying, "Alright, but you have to promise to keep her somewhere safe. Not here because they will quickly find her here. Somewhere safe, I'm giving you one last chance Bunny. Please don't blow it," Mellie said making the Guardians sigh in relief. Bunnymund hugged Mellie tightly in thanks then he sprang into action, "Guardians of Innocence, let's bring back our angel!"
They used North's sleigh to go back to Mecca, it was still the same as they left it.
They landed and stood in a defensive stance, since they were going to enter living hell, it's going to get frisky. But somehow there are no guards...
They entered the Netherworlds without any problem which was weird since hell is probably the worst place to be in. It seemed to be empty minus the sound of screeching demons in the background.
"Okay, you're behind enemy lines now, eyes open for booby traps," Mellie said through the earpiece. They ventured deeper in the never ending halls of hell at the same time memorizing the path.
"So? How do we find an Angel in Hell?" Jack questioned. The males started to bicker about a plan but something caught Tooth's attention, "we follow the light," she simply said as she pointed out something at another hallway.
The others looked at the direction she was pointing and they were surprised to see a light faintly glowing in the same pattern they saw in the Control room.
One word flashed through their minds, "Venus..."
They followed the faint light and they traveled deeper into the halls of hell as the screams of agony continued to get louder. Soon they found themselves in the prison hall of hell filled with rebellious demons, mercenaries and other ruffians. But that's not the only thing they found, they found a slouched and scarred figure, sobbing uncontrollably.
An Angel sobbing while her light flickered on and off repeatedly, glowing dimmer and dimmer by the minute. She looked up to wipe her tears but only to stop mid-way. She saw how her hand glow weakly, then she whipped her head towards a puddle of water to see her reflection. And just by seeing her reflection makes her shake her head in fear and disbelief, she then buried her face in her hands, sobbing once more.
