A day has already passed, Venus hasn't talked to anyone. She was just sitting near the wide window while starring off of the icy wonderland with no emotion.
"She hasn't eaten, sleep or even said a single word ever since she sat in that window..." Tooth whispered to the Guardians, who just looked at the wingless angel with sympathy. Ever since the last nights' events, Venus had grown silent that it worried the Guardians.
"Yeah... Silver couldn't even get her to talk..." Jack whispered back. Sandy nodded as he petted Silver who was whimpering sadly. North looked back at Venus who was tracing invisible hearts at the window. "I'll go and try to talk to her" Jack stated, Bunny starred at him in disbelief "What!?!" He whispered yelled, but the Guardians only shushed him.
"You don't even know the girl!" Bunnymund whispered to Jack but Jack was already flying towards Venus. Jack stopped just right behind her for awhile before sitting down next to her, joining her at her mindless gaze out the window.
"You... You alright?" He asked, not looking at her.
Silence...
"It's funny how did time go by so quickly... It seems like only yesterday I left home... Left my family... Left everyone that I love... Then I returned only to find them gone..." She sighed as she continued to gaze outside. Then he finally looked at her, telling her to go on.
"I wish... I could have been there sooner... It's all my fault! I wasn't there for them!" Venus yelled as she continously bump the back of her head at the wall behind her. Jack looked at her in sadness, "But you still saved us..." He said with a small smile, trying to lighten things up. Venus looked at him for a bit before saying "but... My siblings..." She muttered but Jack brought up a reassuring hand to her shoulder, giving her gentle smile before saying "you shouldn't be hurting yourself like this. Do you think your siblings would like to see you like this?"
Venus looked at him wide eyes before looking down on the floor with shame. He was right, they wouldn't want her to be sad and depressed, they would want her to be happy and strong.
Jack patted her back as he let her cry one more time. And once in a long time, Venus felt the sibling relationship feeling. Kinda like a connection. And she knew he felt it too.
The Guardians were watching in a distance with a smile on their faces at the two latest edition protectors of the world. Except for Bunnymund... He was just watching the pair with a jealous expression but he was able to hide it with his *clears throat* macho man act.
Back to Jack and Venus, Venus was praying for guidance and thanking for all the blessings that she has received to her creator. Jack kneeled and started praying too so she won't feel alone. But as they pray they didn't know that they were accompanied with Sandy. Venus looked at him with a small sad smile before returning back to praying, her siblings' necklaces clasped in her hands.
"Jack! Sandy!" North called, his voice filled with worry. Jack and Sandy immediately flew over the globe room with Venus trailing behind him, "What seems to be the problem, North?" He asked. North pointed to the globe and he saw the lights going out.
"How?" He wondered, the Guardians then started bickering back and forth on what did they do wrong. As they bicker they didn't realize Venus stepping closer to the globe, staring at it intently.
"The Fates..." She muttered, her eyes wide. The Guardians paused to look at her, "it's their fates... They've gone suicidal... And depressed" Venus said, her voice quivering. The Guardians just looked at her confused, but they let her continue "That's why we protect the fates... The fates are what makes the children of God, them... Without those fates, they will be lost, confused, depressed and they will turn suicidal..." Venus said as she took something out of her pocket. An orb with very mystical and delicate designs that the Guardians had never seen.
