"What? What do you mean there's no Lisa Roluns here?" I asked anxiously. They were trying to convince me that the woman I love wasn't here.

"Sir, please calm down. We had a Lisa Martin, but her husband took her home yester-"

"Martin? Husband? What did she look like?" I asked and placed my hands on either side of her desk.

"I don't know, brown hair, blonde ends, black frame glasses," she began listing off all the characteristics that I knew so well.

"You've made some mistake. That's Lisa Roluns you're talking about. And she's not married, she's my girlfriend," I reasoned but the receptionist simply would not agree.

"No, sir. You've made some mistake. Her husband's name was David Martin. He showed us the wedding certificates and everything," she said and everything in my head clicked.

Oh, hell no.
