*MICK'S POV**
I left and headed straight to Josef's. I needed to talk to him about this woman, Morgan Vincent who is a perfect doppelgänger for my ex-wife Coraline. He wouldn't believe me and just tell me it's all in my head, but it's not and she's around Emily. Something tells me that the trouble is now just beginning. For all of a sudden an identical woman pops up that resembles my ex-wife? Nothing at this point adds up. I don't want Emily to get hurt anymore, but her being around me is going to get her hurt. But I can't break the connection we have. I finally feel better than I ever did before now since I'm around her. I know Josef will rant about that I shouldn't get with another human, but if he would be around Emily a lot more, then he would understand our connection.
I got in my car, started it and drove down to Josef's. As usual, his expensive cars were parked out front with his security guards standing outside the door looking like FBI. I got out and started my way towards the doors.
"Mr. St. John, Mr. Kostan's waiting for you in his office." One of the guards said, pulling the doors open for me and showing me the way in.
This building is usually crowded with Josef's associates and workers. It's awfully quiet. I wonder what he's planning, or if something happened that I wasn't notified about our secrecy.
I thought to myself as I walked to the bronze colored elevator door dinged and I stepped inside.
Josef's office is at the main top of the building. Knowing him, he's probably got a party going on up there. The last four floors, I heard loud music, people laughing and champaign corks popping left and right. That's what I thought. The door dinged opened and I stepped out, looking at tons of people dressed up and Josef handing out drinks.
"Mick! What a surprise! What brings you to my office this time of night?"
"We need to talk."
I looked around and saw three women crowding me and one on each of Josef's arms.
"Alone."
He gave me a saddened face.
"Sorry ladies. Will you excuse us for a moment?"
They left me and Josef and he motioned for me to follow him into his private office.
"Now, what's this about?"
He said, pulling out a bottle of fine brandy and pouring us both glasses. The smell of alcohol filled my nose. I glared at Josef with a straight and concerned face.
"I saw Coraline the other night."
"What? You mean Coraline, Coraline?"
"Yeah."
I said as I sat on the leather couch out from his desk. Josef sat in his leather chair and propped his feet upon his desk, drinking as he went.
"After I took Emily to the hospital, the doctors came out saying that she had a rare blood type. The same rare blood type that both Beth and Coraline had."
"AO-..."
"Yeah, exactly."
"Mick, it's all in your head."
"Josef, it's not all in my head. There was a woman who gave a blood transfusion to Emily. She was a dead ringer for Coraline. She moved the same. She talked the same."
