= Juliette =
As I sat in the stadium styled seats and looked down at the graduating class I couldn't help but feel proud of Eloise, she had finally done it and I couldn't wait to get her away from here.
I pulled out my cellphone and snapped a couple of photos, but of course I was too high up to get a decent picture of my sister specifically without the photo becoming grainy, so instead I called Dorian (as I was suppose to call him when I landed).
"Juliette." He answered anxiously, "I've never known you to be late at anything...are you alright?"
"I'm fine Handsome, I just got caught up with my sister and lost track of time." I confessed. "I do apologize if I've caused you any worry."
He sighed softly into the phone and I felt it in my core as if he had been standing there hugging me, "I will always worry when it comes to my mate, but I'm also happy to hear that you are having a good time with your sister."
I smiled and allowed myself to have a cheesy cliche moment with my boyfriend. "I miss you."
"And I miss you." He sounded without missing a beat. Then chuckled, "so how is everything back home?"
I rolled my eyes as the playful moment was gone now, "this isn't home to me, you know that." I sounded seriously, "but I suppose things are alright...oh, is there anyway you can find out if Harmond University is full, turns out my sister hasn't exactly applied for school and may not get into any school at this point."
"I will have someone look into it for you, and if not I'm sure we will figure something out." He stated in a matter of fact fashion. "Have you thought anymore about letting her know about us?"
"She knows I have a boyfriend." I filled him in.
"No Beauty, I didn't mean 'us' as in you and I, I meant 'us' as in my pack and I."
Now I understood, I hadn't given it any thought if I was being honest with myself. The fact of the matter remains that this life that I'm so blessed to be a part of is quite ridiculous to someone not in the know. As it stands, it even took me a long time (even after seeing Dorian's wolf form) to accept it fully.
"As of now ...no, she doesn't know about the pack, nor does she know she will hopefully be going to a pack college where I know she will be safe but to her, you're all just make believe creatures." I sighed. "Look Handsome, while I love you and accept you and your life fully...I know it's selfish of me... but I'm just now getting her back, and I don't want to scare her away."
I felt guilty.
"It's okay my Beauty, I promise everybody will understand if this is truly what you want."
I nodded and noticed someone approaching.
"I have to go, I'll call you tonight, I love you Handsome." I smiled.
"Love you too my Beauty."
I hung up and was gutted when I saw that it was my aunt.
"Juliette." She acknowledged as she took the seat next to me.
Her large frame made her entire presence seem that much more uncomfortable as she was squished into the chair with built in armrests.
"Aunt Gertie." I sounded.
"Couldn't help but over hear the tail end of your conversation...as I see no ring on your finger I can't help but conclude that you were speaking to your bedroom companion, living in sin no doubt."
I held my tongue as my bible thumping aunt attempted to egg me on in public, "Aunt Gertie you know very well I have my own place."
She didn't reply.
One of the attendee's took a seat in front of us before turning to greet Aunt Gertie.
"Oh my, if it isn't Juliette Hart in the flesh." The older woman smiled. I didn't recognize her, nor would I as my aunt virtually held my sister and I hostage in her home, the town knew of us, but it was rare we were allowed out with the exception of school and church.
I simply smiled.
"How long has it been since you've come home?" She asked.
"Two years ma'am."
"Oh dear that is far too long to be away from family...but the important thing is that you came to see your baby sister graduate, my own grandson is graduating today as well, he got accepted into LSU...its a bit of a drive but we don't mind." She rambled.
I held my smile politely.
"How about yourself dear, finished with school, have a husband yet?"
"No ma'am, I'm still in school, hopefully I will finish next year, as for a husband...well I do have a boyfriend that seems to be very interested in the idea of marriage one day." I emphasized.
"I dare say don't wait too long as you aren't getting any younger dear, and how about Eloise, any plans after graduation?"
"She will be moving with me, I've got my own place and can get her into school there."
The woman nodded with approval.
"Actually," my aunt cut in. "Eloise isn't going anywhere for a good two more months as she is still only seventeen...in two months if she still chooses to leave then she may, but until then I will make sure she spends her time applying to get into an actual university instead of some small town college like the one Juliette chose to throw her intelligence away at."
The older woman sensed the uncomfortable topic at hand and turned in her seat so that her back was now to us once more.
I didn't say a thing as I didn't wish to cause a scene on Eloise's special day.
But I would be damned if this crackpot old lady thinks for one minute that I will be leaving my sister. Never again will I ever let anyone come between my sister and I.
From here on out I will do everything in my power to keep my sister with me until she decides to leave.
But I know for sure she doesn't want anything to do with this town or our horrible aunt, so I'd just like to see her try and keep Eloise here.
