I was forced to sit next to my 'holier than thou' aunt as she sneered through the entire assembly, but as Eloise was close to being called I didn't even bother to acknowledge my aunt's existence any further.
"Eloise Heart."
I stood up and clapped my hardest in hopes that she would hear my claps louder than anyone else's. I teared up as she walked onto the stage and happily shook the hands of her superiors, her classmates cheered for her rowdily but it only showed me that she was liked by many. She moved her tassel to the opposite side of her cap and then looked up in search of me.
I began waving my arms like a lunatic, for once not caring one bit what anyone thought about me.
She smiled a wide smile upon seeing me and gave me a small wave before returning to her seat, I followed her actions and took my own seat so I could finish watching the graduation of the rest of her class.
When the event was over I practically ran down the steps in search of her, but finally found her with a small group of people.
With my phone I took more than a few pictures of Eloise and her friends, Eloise by herself and then I asked one of her friends to take our picture together.
Afterward I assessed the photo, Eloise smiled beautifully as she looked at the camera, but I could be found looking admiringly at my little sister, so proud that she had accomplished such a feat. I didn't ask for a retake (even though I wasn't looking at the camera) as the photo capture the moment perfectly to me. Nothing in this world could be more important than my sister right now.
Our loving moment was short lived though as our aunt approached us.
"I've made reservations for dinner, so if you two are finished lollygagging we can get going."
Eloise and I silently followed her, thankfully in separate cars though.
Once in the car I put on the radio and together we sang along horribly to the songs playing.
We made it through dinner with little to no disagreements with our aunt. But once we finished dinner and headed back to my aunt's house that's when things turned ugly quite quickly.

"You won't be going and so help me God I will make sure you don't go throwing your life away like your damn sister!" My aunt shouted.
The three of us had been arguing over the same subject for well over twenty minutes.
"I'm leaving and you can't stop me!" Eloise shouted back.
Aunt Gertie slapped Eloise and that's when I stepped in, I had physically stepped in between the two of them but Aunt Gertie grabbed my shoulders roughly. "If you think you're just going to come in and tear this family apart you have another thing coming."
I shoved her arms off of me and pushed her back harshly, she stumbled a little.
"If you ever so much as think about putting your hands on either of us I swear it will be the last thought you have." I threatened.
I could tell she was shocked.
No longer was I the quiet incident little niece she had known me to be. The truth is I am an Alpha's mate, and with that comes a sort of power that I didn't know I had. More so, an Alpha's mate (Were or otherwise) can not be weak as she has to be strong for her mate and his pack...I wasn't near my mate or his pack, but I did have to protect my sister.
"Eloise, go pack your bags, we are getting out of here tonight." I said as I kept my eyes glued to my aunt.
Gertie looked livid but didn't try and stop Eloise as she bound up the stairs quickly.
