=Juliette=

"You have no idea how much I missed you, my beauty."

I smiled up at my own gentle beast of a mate and relished in his soft kiss before he released me and went back to his work.

I made my way over to his desk and too a seat on the edge to regain his attention. "Well I know I absolutely missed you more." I replied completely enamored with my man.

In truth we hadn't been away from each other very long, but as his mate, the distance was beginning to become almost unbearable...heck I even had trouble not just getting up and leaving my own sister at the restaurant we stopped for lunch earlier, just because I knew I was within a closer proximity to him.

"Well maybe later you can show me just how much you missed me." He suggested wickedly as he looked up at me, his eyes darkening with desire.

And as much as I was dying to give into him right here and now, I knew my mate needed to remember himself.

"Handsome." I sighed as I had to be the responsible one once again. I got up from his desk and offered his a gentle smile as I touched his lovely face. "You've got business to attend to before we can even begin to think about possibly spending the night together."

"Possibly?"

I nodded, "you know I love you, and yes I would like to stay the night...but my sister-"

"Is a big girl, my beauty." He cut me off gently as this time he stood to place his hands on my waist, "Lovely, Don't start smothering her, I know you're anxious to have her back but you've gotta remember that she's young and honestly being here is the one place she can probably roam free and we wouldn't have to worry about anything when it comes to her."

I placed my hands on his chest and sighed, "I know and you're right."

"What was that?" He asked playfully with a huge smile. "...could you repeat that?"

"I said you're right....but don't get use to it."

He pecked my lips once again before we both knew he needed to get ready for his meeting with his pack guard. I showed myself out of the office and made my way up to his bedroom where I took a behind his desk and pulled out my laptop and immediately found my own itinerary.

-Restoration of Kings Park
(Zoning clearances, licensures, blue prints)

-Meeting with opposing attorney to discuss terms and conditions for upcoming case.

-Dinner with the Travers

-Seminar with pack elders on the importance of females in the pack

-Pack Meeting

With a heavy sigh I closed the laptop, these were just a few things I needed to get done this week sometime between school and work...now I also had to figure out how to split what little time I have left over between my mate and my sister.

I still wasn't quite sure how I was going to manage to pull this off, and worse...by all means, I needed to make sure that the secret of the pack is kept.

I know if she ever finds out she will hate me, but it's something I'll have to deal with when and if that time comes.

__________

With a big yawn I decided to take my handsome's advice and just stay the night.

It was already late and I was feel pretty drained from the trip as well as the long day Eloise and I had...plus she said she'd be staying the night with Clementine

After I kicked off my shoes I walked into the closet to fish out a set of pajamas that I kept here.

"My beauty?"

"In the closet handsome." I responded as I quickly grabbed the matching pajama set.

"Thank goddess...I thought you had left."

I could sense something wasn't right, "what's wrong?"

"One of my guys just got a call from Pearl Dupree."

"The waitress from the diner?" I asked (he immediately nodded his head yes). "It's a little late in the evening isn't it?"

"That's just it, apparently she had an outsider come into the diner."

At this I breathed a slight sigh of relief and let my tense shoulder fall, "she probably just saw Eloise, my sister said she'd be out with some of our pack girls tonight...and of course the diner is basically the only place they can really go this time of night." I smiled.

But he didn't smile, nor did his guard come back down.

"Pearl was specific...said it was Roc Wylde, she mentioned she heard his bike before he openly walked into the diner."

"But...he knows better than to just stroll onto your territory." I countered.

He shrugged, "I don't know what he's playing at, but he knows the rules...no Were from his pack can come onto our lands without our permission, and seeing as neither of us gave him permission, I'm fully able to approach him on his lands."

"You'll do no such thing." I said with firmness and finality. "Dorian did he do anything harmful?"

"He completely fucking disobeyed our rules!" He growled.

"Did he hurt anybody, steal any cars, vandalize any property?" I asked him again.

Dorian remained silent.

"Handsome." I said much softer this time, "the guy was probably just drunk, got turned around realized where he was and then took off back home." I suggested.

"If that's the case he very well may have injured someone or destroyed property as he was drinking and driving."

"Dorian Travers, I love you but as your mate I refuse to let you make something out of nothing...in all the years of you two hating each other Roc has never broken the rules nor have you, I won't let you bring war onto this pack so lightly over one mistake."

"If I don't do anything he'll take it as a sign of weakness!" He growled once again.

I knew Dorian had a lot on his plate but I had spoken my peace, deep down I genuinely don't see why the two packs can't just get along.

"Be smart and do what you think you must handsome, I love you but I won't stay and watch you act so rash." I said as I tossed my pajamas onto the bed.

And with that I left for the night.

I knew by my leaving Dorian wouldn't do anything toward Roc Wylde tonight, his wolf would get after him for fighting with me instead.
