My eyes cautiously opened as I scanned the room I was currently in.

Definitely the nurses office.

Only I couldn't remember anything. I started to sit up but the ice pack near my eye slipped off onto the floor. I huffed picking it up and placing it on the now numb spot near my eye.

Carly stepped into the room moments later with a smile on her face.

"How's my little wounded solider?" She said with a little laugh.

"What happened?" I asked, Carly sighed, taking a seat at the edge of the cot.

"Aiden and Ross were arguing and then Aiden threw a punch and it hit you on accident since you stepped in front of Ross to break up the fight."

Sounds like something I would do, I hated fighting. Especially when it was my fault.

"Where's Aiden? Is he okay?" I asked a little too quickly. We just became a couple and I was already freaking out about him.

"The doctors said he will be fine." I sighed a sigh of relief. Readjusting my ice pack and relaxing my shoulders.

"Wait doctors?" I asked my heart rate speeding up. As I pulled the ice pack off of my eye as if it would make whatever Carly was saying better.

"Yeah..he's just getting checked, he might have a broken nose. "  She said, slightly shifting her weight on each side.

"Where is he?"

"At the hospital right now according to Sam."

I stood up a little too quickly which made me extremely dizzy. And the ice pack that I had just put back on my eye fall off.

"Easy there. You just woke up, nothing's going to happen if you take a moment to stabilize yourself." Carly said calmly while holding tightly onto my arm as she helped me sit back down.

"Okay." I said as I rested my head back down on the bed.

"I'm going to bring the nurse and tell her you're awake. Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone."

"I promise mom." I said in little kids voice while Carly rolled her eyes.

"I called your mom. She should be picking you up any moment now." Carly said while resting her arm against the counter and applying eyeliner.

"Why? The nurse said I'm fine." I said while making and my way over to the blow dryer thing that never works.

Great job school bathroom hand dryers.

You literally have one job.

"Well your mom doesn't think so."

Hopefully she hasn't heard the rest of the story.

About me having another boyfriend.

"I swear these things are just blowing people's poop particles everywhere instead of drying my hands." I said trying to lighten the mood. Carly just gave me a slight laugh and then a frown as her eyeliner smeared. She  took out a make up wipe and reapplied her eyeliner.

There was silence as I thought about everything with Aiden and I. We were moving way too fast.

After all my mom only let me date Jeffrey because she knew his mom, they were best friends growing up and so were their grandmas.

My mom wanted someone to marry into that family because of the history our families have, and that would have to be me. My brother isn't exactly the marrying type.
