The entire phone call with Liam, all I could possibly do was cry until I felt that the tears inside of me were all now dripping down the sides of my face.
But Liam had to leave for work and he insisted not to go, but this was my problem. Not Liam's.
Even though I felt like I needed a shoulder to cry on for the rest of the day, I couldn't let this destroy me.
I had to start over.
Niall probably has, but I couldn't help but wonder if Niall was still waiting for me, or if he ever found the diaries I'd selfishly left for him. The ones filled with a false future I had planned for us.
Every diary was filled with something new, and every wish Niall had ever rambled about when he spoke about our future. Even before we were together, when he spoke about his dream future with his dream wife-
A sudden phone ring had made me jump a little, as it rung loudly, cutting through the air filled with thick tension, reaching my ears. Sighing and sticking with my decision to start over, which included not ignoring phone calls for selfish reasons, I pressed the answer button and held the phone up to my ear, not bothering to check exactly who was calling me. Hopefully whoever it was, they wouldn't keep a conversation which involved actually engaging.
"Harold," I sniffled quietly so I don't embarrass myself too much, but it was the most difficult task to successfully accomplish.
When there was no sound on the other line, I sighed, looking down. However, before I'm about to hang up, I hear a small voice as the phone is an inch away from my ear.
My breath shook.
God, no.
I knew that voice.
The fragility so careful that it could float away in thin air.
The singing of angels with every word that rolled off the tongue.
His voice.
The voice only one person whom I love until this day owned.
The reason to my tears; only his voice.
I shakily brought the phone back up to my ear, every thought of moving on tearing out of my head.
"Harry..." the beautiful words repeated throughout my ears and I squeezed my eyes shut. Every moment that a cloud of heavy breath occupied the sound coming from the phone, was all that was being taken in inside my mind. It's all I needed to know that I was on the phone with the person I know I destroyed.
He called me.
Him.
I pressed my lips together, this moment being one I would forever die for.
Starting over was going to be hard.
I wasn't still supposed to be so deeply in love with him-someone who doesn't even deserve me.
"H-Harry I know y-you can hear me," his voice sounded broken like if I said something he would just fade away.
I hadn't realized I had been silent for so long, considering I felt like this was just a broken dream.
"N-Niall?" I croaked ever so weakly. After that, I didn't know what to say. There was nothing to say.
"I need to see you. I-In p...person."
