Chapter 5

Ashlynn to the side once again


I wake up by Kelsey's breathing. It wasn't like she was exactly snoring, but it was pretty close to it.

I breathe in her scent and I am instantly calmed. Okay that sounded really weird. I just lay there a while with Kelsey's arms around me. Kelsey's breathing shallows and I look up into her eyes.

She smiles at me and I smile back. "Wanna hear something weird?" She asks.

Oh. My. God. Her morning voice is so sexy. I'm pretty sure I groaned when I heard her speak.

"What is it?" I ask quietly. "This may sound crazy, but that was the best sleep I've had in awhile."

I nod my head and quietly say "Same." Kelsey laughs a bit and for a while we both don't talk.

It's not like how our silents have been before. The silences before have been awkward and forced. This time it's more peaceful than anything.

Before I can even control what coming out of my mouth I say "You smell really good." Great! I sound like a complete moran. Instead of Kelsey making fun of my weird tendencies she just laughs and mutters a thanks. We just lay there. Her arms over my body.

Kelsey's alarm clock goes off and she starts to unwrap her arms from around me. "I guess it's time to start the day." She says getting up from the bed. I frown as I don't feel the warmth from her.

"Hey Kelsey" I say as I finally rise up. She turns to me with a questioning look on her face. "I just wanted to say thank you. I know I've been really mean and rude, but I'm really happy and grateful that you stayed with me last night." Honestly I just need someone to sleep with when another storm comes. 

Kelsey smile and walks over to me. Then before I even know what I'm doing I wrap my arms around her. She hugs me back and it feels so nice.

We stop squeezing so hard and separate a bit. I look up at her and she's looking at me. I look at her lips and she glances at mine.

We inch our faces closer and closer. Our lips mashed together and right when I'm about to open my lips to let her tongue come in we hear a knock at the door.

We immediately separate and hear "Hey babe. Can I come in?"

Kelsey and I's eyes widen in panic. "Go into my closet!" Kelsey whispers. "WHAT???" I whisper yell. "You heard me. Go. Into. My. Closet."

Then Kelsey rushes me into her closet and closes the door. Now I can only see from the little crack in the door. I feel like a dirty mistress. 

Kelsey opens the door and there is Maddie. "Hey baby." Kelsey says to Maddie as if nothing's wrong. As if she didn't just kiss me. As if we didn't just sleep together.

Maddie smiles and says hey back. They talk for a few seconds before things start to get heated. Did Kelsey forget I was here or something?

I can't stop my stomach from turning. Maddie grabs Kelsey and starts making out with her. They make out for a few seconds before Kelsey breaks away.

"That was awesome babe." Maddie says and Kelsey agrees. "So babe, what do you think about those kids?" Maddie says.

They start talking about all of the girls and then they come to me. Honestly kind of hurt that they didn't talk about me first. Like I should be number 1. "So what about that Ashlynn girl, hey?" Maddie says.

Kelsey just shrugs and says "I think she just has an attitude problem. Once we can crack her I think everyone will start being a whole lot nicer."

Maddie nods her head before sitting on Kelsey's lap. "Babe." Maddie says as she wraps her arms around Kelsey's shoulders. "I think that she might have a crush on you." Kelsey laughs and says "Babe that's so not true. Besides you shouldn't even care. I love you and only you."

I can feel my eyes starting to water. This happens everytime I get interested in someone I get played. I'm so naïve.

"Prove it." Maddie says as she slowly kisses Kelsey.

"Why would I even want to be with a girl like Ashlynn. First of all she's a spoiled brat and is so difficult. She's like a child. And second of all she basically is a child. How old is she? Like 12!!"

I try my hardest to not cry. I am not like a child. "Well anyways babe. I have to get dressed."

I don't even notice that Maddie is still in her PJs. "Which reminds me the reason I even came here. I left my jacket over here last night and I was wondering if I could get it back?" Kelsey nods and starts walking over to me, well the closet.

As soon as she opens the door the first tear falls. I can feel it going down my cheek. I look up and see Kelsey looking at me. As she's looking I quickly wipe away my tear. She will not see me like this.

Then she grabs Maddie's jacket and shuts the closet door. By now more tears have fallen. I hear the door close and wait a while.

"You can come out now." Kelsey says. I stand up and try to wipe away more tears. I open the closet door and try not to look at Kelsey.

I do the mistake of looking over at her and that causes for more tears to come. "Wait Ashlynn" She says trying to get me to stop.

She grabs my hand, but I yank it back. "Don't touch me." I manage to say before leaving her room. I go back into my room and think about how I should handle this.

Either I'll pretend this never happened, act super duper nice, or be a bitch. But there's only one thing I know how to do.

Kelsey has no idea what's coming.
