Chapter 17

First of all I want to say sorry for not uploading in forever. A lot has been going on. I HAVE A GIRLFRIEND NOW!!! And i'm deeply in love with her and I don't think she reads my books. But yeah. Anyways Ashlynn crying is uptop.

I let Kelsey fall asleep on me. I mean it's the least I could do.

Kelsey goes to sleep. I don't know where my mom went. When she wakes up she looks straight up to me.

"Hey." I mutter to her.

Kelsey doesn't say anything she just brings her lips up to mine. For a second I kiss back, until I remember what I have to tell her. I pull back and of course Kelsey tries to bring me back in.

I pull back and put my hands out in front of her. "Kels, I think we need to talk." I say with a calm voice.

Kelsey shakes her head and pulls me into a kiss. This time I don't pull away. We start to deepen the kiss when I pull back again.

"Kelsey we really need to talk." I say.

Kelsey huffs and says "Fine, what do you want to talk about?"

I look at her like she's crazy. Did she forget about the whole thing that just happened? I mean I knew she went to sleep, but still.

"Kelsey this is kind of a big deal." I say grabbing a hold of her hands. Kelsey groans and says "Fine, but there isn't anything to talk about."

I bite my lip and say "Kelsey, you said that you love me." I pause and Kelsey nods her head. "Kelsey I-."

Kelsey cuts me off before I can even finish my sentence. "The only reason I told you that Ashlynn is because I know that you won't hurt me. I know that you feel the same way about me."

I let go of Kelsey's hands and say "Kelsey. Is it true that I care for you? Yes. But I don't think that I love you. I care about you and I want you to be okay, but I don't think I love you."

As I say this I don't look Kelsey in the eyes. I already know how she's gonna feel. For a while it stays silent. I quietly say "Kelsey, I-".

Kelsey cuts me off. "It's okay Ashlynn." She says quietly.

I nod my head.

Kelsey looks down and I see a small tear roll down her face.

I try to grab her but she brushes me off. "Please Ashlynn just go."

I shake my head and try to wrap my arms around her.

She pushes me off and says with a shaky voice. "Leave Ash." I try to say something but she cuts me off again. "I SAID LEAVE ASHLYNN."

I open my mouth but nothing comes out. I slowly get up and walk out. Kelsey doesn't look at me.

I was the only person that Kelsey gave her heart to, and I broke it.

I feel like shit.

I open up my dorm and see my mom and Jake in the room. They're both asleep. I wonder what time it is? I mean I wasn't with Kelsey that long.

Was I?

I walk over to my bed and climb in. I don't even undress.

All I want to do is close my eyes and sleep.

I wake up to my mother slightly shaking me. "Honey, I just wanted to let you know that Jake and I are about to leave."

I mumble a few words and she laughs and Jake walks in front of her. "Hey Ash. I just wanted to say bye."
