"Be careful babe!" I groaned as I sat the card board box, resting my hands on my back.
"Damion, I'm not completely useless, I can lift a box of party hats and goodie bags." I pointed out as he picked up the box while grabbing my hand.
"I don't care if it's a box of feathers, I don't want you lifting anything when you could have our daughter at any moment."He let go of my hand to rest his hand on my large stomach. I grinned at him.
"You know it's kind of hot when you get all Daddy protective?"I smiled up at him, wrapping my arms on his neck fully since I had on wedges.
He smirked sitting the box on a nearby table, and wrapped his arms around my waist. "You do?"
I nodded pecking his lips, twice, smiling when a hand reached up and held my chin still so he could fully kiss me.
"Do you two have to tongue each other down in the middle of the day?" We broke apart to look at Travis. He'd grown out his dark hair so that it now stopped at his shoulders. He currently had his hair pulled into a low ponytail with a few wandering strands.
His black framed glasses were replaced by black shades. He was dressed in a red t-shirt and cargo shorts. And a medium sized green gift bag in his right hand. "You're inside looses the glasses, Freckle the Pirate." Damion teased releasing me and grabbing the box once again.
Travis made a noise as he took off his glasses, revealing his violet eyes. I walked over to him giving him a hug, he gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Don't mind him, is that for Aiden?" I asked gesturing to the bag.
He nodded. "Where is he anyway?"
"Outback I think, in the bouncy house." I shrugged, while taking the bag and sitting it with the other gifts.
"Babe, can you go get Robbie from his room?" I asked sweetly, Damion nodded sitting down the box and going upstairs. I turned back to Travis.
"So how's everything with Mia?" I knew they'd been dating for a while and he was bound to pop the question any day now.
He rubbed the back of his neck, "Good, good. I've been doing a lot of thinking lately, I don't know if I'm going to ask her-" "What why? Everything is going so good?" I said shocked, why he wouldn't want to marry her.
"Layla, I'm-" "Mom you wanted me?" I turned to see Robbie coming down stairs followed by Damion.
"We will definitely talk later." I poked Travis in the chest; he nodded giving me a small smile as he went out back to where the party was.
"Do you need anything else before I go out?" Damion asked picking up the box again. I shook my head. "No, thank you." He nodded walking towards the backyard.
I turned to look at Robbie, when puberty hit, he hit it hard. No longer was he my baby Robbie, he was now Robert who loved playing Soccer and Basketball. When he turned twelve, he was five foot six, now at the age of 14, two years later he is five foot nine. His black hair tended to stay in that messy state that everyone seemed to leave their hair in, and a lean figure from his amount of physical activities.
He dark eyes examined my face. "Mom?"
I shook my head smiling, "I'm just realizing how old you've gotten." I couldn't help as the tears started to pool in my eyes. He let out a breath, "Mom, it's not my birthday today." He said giving me a hug. I gladly wrapped my arms around my oldest baby.
"I know, I know," I dabbed under my eyes trying not to mess up my mascara, "Come on everyone's here."
I turned and began to walk towards the back yard, my wedge got caught on something and I tripped. Robbie's grabbed my forearm steadying me.
