Before i knew it, morning arrived and i was hugging Stacy's parents good bye as they left for work. Just as Stacy and i were finishing the owl face pancakes with ear and blueberry eyes we've made for breakfast, there was a knock on the door. Harold the person who is picking me up had come, wearing winged sandals, a winged cap and a knee - length toga. Beyond him on the lawn sat a beautiful silver chariot that was already piled high with packages.

"Where are you supposed to sit?" Stacy whispered from behind me.

"Good question," i whispered back.

"Hup! Hup! We're behind schedule." Harold pushed some packages around to make room for me. Then he rushed me, my bag and my two suitcases aboard as if i was just another package he needed to deliver.

The minute i settled in, mighty white wings sprouted from the chariot's sides."Strap yourself in!" ordered Harold as the wings began to flap. I fastened the strap and twisted around as the chariot lifted off.

"Bye! I'll miss you, Stacy!" I called over my shoulder.

"I'll miss you too!" Stacy shouted, waving. "Don't forget to ask Azrul about a visit!"

"Okay!" I called back again.

As we traveled on, I caught glimpses of green fields, blue seas and cityscapes below. But they faded away as the winged chariot flew higher and higher.

Soon we began circling the top of a gigantic mountain. "Next stop : Royal Sapphire Academy," rumbled Harold. I leaned forward trying to see it while my long brown hair whipping in the wind behind me.

With a burst of speed, the chariot broke through a fluffy cloud. Up ahead, my new school sprang into view almost like magic. The majestic academy gleamed in the sunlight atop the highest mountain in the country. Built of polished white stone, it was five stories tall and surrounded on all sides by dozens of ionic columns. Lowrelief friezes were sculpted just below its peaked rooftop.

Looks like i've traded Stacy for a palace, i thought.

Below in the courtyard, dozens of students were rushing around. Everyone seemed to have some place to go. These were princesses and prince, i realized. How strange to think that i am one of them. Were they nice? Would they like me? I clutched my bag tightly.

"Too late to change your mind now," said Harold. How had he guessed i was having second thoughts? Seconds later, he touched down at the top of the granite steps leading up to the school and scooted me out of the chariot. Then, without another word, he took off in a rush, leaving me behing with my bag and suitcases. Probably had another urgent packages to deliver.

He'd left me standing in front of a huge white door. Letters chiseled on it read THE OFFICE. A water fountain stood just outside. Parched from my journey, i bent to take a gulp from it and quickly discovered that, instead of water, it sprouted some kind of juice i had never tasted before. It was so delicious that i took a second drink.

When i straightened again, i noticed my hand looked kind of weird - like it had been powdered with golden glitter. Tilting it side to side, i saw that it sparkled in the sunlight. So did my arm. So did both of my arms! And my legs too.

My skin had begun to shimmer, just like a real princess.
