Scorched man

Here comes the scorched man

scraggy, soaked and haggard

His bare feet touch the scrubby, sultry earth

But still in fine feathers

His head held high

No fears to be haunted by

just faith in himself and a desire.

Desire...for what ?

discover where the sky starts and ends

like high above the sky, where the heavens reside

Should he faint and give up ?

and let the ground taste his tears in remorse

No one besides his shadow here

But he won't stop, go on and bear

put body and soul & won't remain obscure

Till he reaches there

and sing to the whole world his swan - song

A brave man

who did dare do in what others failed.

I wrote this poem, when I was 14 years old.

This poem talks about a man, who is hard working & hard willed.
He is very dedicated, & determined to achieve what he has dreamt of, so much that he isn't bothered about the pain & madness accompanying the journey. He is burned, has seen failure, but still continues on the hard journey.

Hence, the title - Scorched man
