'Always' like boulder

"Shouldn't we follow our hearts ? "

It was asked

To which it solemnly replied - ' ALWAYS '

For I was once a big boisterous boulder that lay ashore

With all friends ; loads of fun for sure

But badly broke down to pieces one day

And all fun which came in ounces, got lost too.....

that day....

Travelled on to far off places

And never found my way back home

Cried for years, months, days and so....

hadn't I broken down that day

wouldn't have found myself this way

& yes! I've had it and I'm done

Then I asked my heart aloud

What should I do now ?

When have nothing left and all in vain...

I saw some happy stones floating my way

which reminded me of my friends in some way

I joined their company & floated, again.

But this time not alone & ashamed

So, whenever asked

shouldn't we follow our hearts

always say " always"

cause it knows everything.

I wrote this poem when I was 14 years old.

This poem was a difficult one for me to write, because I was trying so hard to make it rhyme throughout, & make it look very organised; because here I'm trying to tell a made-up story, through my poetic words.
Hence the title as per the story - 'always' like boulder.
