Is it me in the mirror
Or the shadows of my past
In the light have come together,
to set apart
On these shards of it
Lying broken on the floor
By hands of nothing, but the same bloody demise
In anguish, failure and lonesomeness
Lest if I couldn't bring the princess back to home,
I'll be living alone
History will know a great king forever
But will know I, without a mistress sitting next to his level
In all that I could gift her
These wealth, fortune & fame; shall never feed then
Shall never satisfy the old me
Lying on royalty, counting his last moments of misery
Oh, if just, there could be she
To put a hand on these eyes
So tears can flow by & her warrior can sleep into eternity.

I wrote this poem much recently
( 18 years old ).
This poem is not something that I've felt. It is completely made up. And also from the point-of-view of a male, a king.
I am trying to show THAT king's regret, pain, & his painful apprehensions about his future for the consequences of everything happened. He is blaming himself.
To be more precise, someone kidnapped his wife & he wasn't able to win the fight to bring her back. He isn't feeling bad because he lost the fight with someone, but because he is afraid to have lost his dear lover.
Now who will love him ?
He also imagines his last days without her, & how they could be otherwise, if there would be her.
Hence the title- What have I done
