DUNTULM CASTLE, TROTTERNISH, SCOTLAND
This castle can no longer be entered due to its poor condition. The castle is so old that no one really knows it's history. Legends say that 5,000 fairies built it in one night. But it was owned by the Mcdonald clan until 1742.
The dungeon is haunted by Hugh Mcdonald. The chieftain found out the he was planning to assassinate him, and threw Hugh into the dungeon. He died in the dungeons after trying to eat the crockery. His cries for help can still be heard today, echoing around the castle. A nurse maid also haunts the castle after she was sentenced to death for accidentally dropping a new born child from the castle windows onto the rocks below.
