BRIT'S beaches might seem a PERF. plce 2 escape 2 when TEMP'S soar, but if u r PRANG of ghosts, then fink twice abt heading 2 these beaches. Otherwise, ur staycation might hv u heading fr the nearest airport!

Talacre Beach, Fluntshire, N. Wales:
Lk 2WRDS the top of the Point of Ayr lighthouse in Talacre Beach, Flintshire, N. Wales, & u may c a man in old-fashioned clothes guard ov it.
   He appears evn thou the entrance 2 the lighthouse is lock'd w/ chn's. Some say he wz a lighthouse keep'r call'd Raymond, who died either frm typhoid / </3. He hs become such a LOC. legend tht a 7ft SCULPT. of a ghostly FIG., named The Keeper, hs bn plced beside the lantern in the lighthouse.
   And he is not the 1LY spirit presence in the area.
   In 1775, #2 ships were stranded nr Talacre Beach during a violent storm. Betwn them, the ships, named 'The Trevor' & 'Non Pareil', were carrying 200 crew & passengers, plus £40,000 wrth of jwls, precious silks & spices.
   Some survivors md it ON2 the beach but were attack'd by men, who beat them 2 death w/ clubs B4 stealing their TREAS.. Tis sd tht some of the souls who perish'd here still haunt the bay.

Sandwood Bay, Scotland:
A phantom sailor roams the beaches @ Sandwood Bay in Scotland, startling LOC'S B4 disappearing frm view.
He hs a beard, wears sea boots, a cap & a sailor's tunic w/ bryt, brass buttons. Farmers, fishermen & walkers all claim 2 hv seen the spirit, wh is believed 2 b tht of a Polish sailor, who drowned in the bay FOLL'ING a ship wreak.
His hvy footsteps hv bn heard @ a nr-by derelict cott., & he is sd 2 knock @ the door. Maybe he wants 2 ask abt the mermaids who hv also bn spotted fr YR'S now, swimming in the water!

Brighton Beach, Sussex:
Brighton Beach in Sussex is spooky @ NYT, md mor so by the skeletal West Pier, burnt dwn in 2003.
But spirit activity cn strike @ NE time of the dy. The beach is hme 2 a phantom dog. Some witnesses claim he is the size of a [SM.] horse. The fog FOLL'S lone walkers along the sand B4 disappearing IN2 thin air. Does the dog belong 2 the strange vanishing man spotted on the promenade? This gentleman is dress'd in old-fashioned clothes & a tall hat, seemingly frm Victorian times.

West Martello Bay, Essex:
In 1986, man walking his dog on the beach @ West Martello Bay, nr Clacton in Essex, found a severed human arm on the sand.
His dog dug it ^ & the man took it hme B4 taking it 2 the police station. Fr SEV. wks aftr, his hse wz disturbed by strange, phantom noises. HAPPILY, the spooky disturbances ceased w/ time.
Nr'by, a LOC. shopkeeper who hd hired a storeroom @ Clacton's Old Lifeboat House, nr the shore, sd he hs poltergeist activity in his store. Items rearranged themselves OV-NYT & strange noises were heard.

Backways Cove, N. Cornwall:
Backways Cove is a [SM.] bay jst along the coast frm Trebarwith Strand, one of N. Cornwall's long, golden beaches. The Cove is visit'd by the restless spirit of a LOC. man, haunted by his self-destructive crime.
As legend goes, a LOC. farmer left evrythng 2 his eldest son when he SLEPT IN QUIET, LV'ING his ygr son crept out #1 NYT & set fire 2 his bro's farm BUILD'S above Backways Cove.
The PROP'S were [RED'D] 2 burnt-out rubble. But the FOLL'ING dy, the arsonist discover'd tht his bro hd GONE peacefully a dy earlier, LV'ING the entire estate 2 him. Some say tht, unable 2 4GIVE himself, the ygr bro drowned himself in the cove. His restless spirit now haunts the beaches below.
