Third Person POV
Percy scrambled off of Leo and helped him up.
"Owww." The son of Hephaestus moaned, clutching his head.
"Watch it, he's hurt." Will swooped in, helping Leo back to the cot. "Can you walk stably?"
"I dunno." Leo shrugged him off and took a step. Calypso caught him as he fell over. "Nope."
"Get him in the bed. If he didn't have a concussion before, he sure does now."
Nico turned to Percy. "Did you know that was happening?"
"I had a hunch." The son of Poseidon rasped. His lungs had definitely been damaged by the smoke.
"You sound terrible." Leo grunted from his cot.
"Yeah, that's what not being fireproof gets for you."
"Here." Will tossed Percy a vial of nectar. "That should help."
Percy popped the cap off and chugged the golden substance. "Any casualties from the fire?"
"Not that I know of." Nico responded.
"How are they-oh, you're awake!" Piper burst into the room.
"How's the fire? Any injuries?" Nico asked her.
"I don't know. I was looking for you."
The son of Hades frowned. "But you knew where I was. You told me that you were going to help with the fire."
Piper shook her head. "I did not. I was looking for you when the fire broke out but when I checked your cabin you weren't there."
"But you're the one who got me from my cabin!" Nico insisted, getting irritated.
"No I wasn't!"
"Alright, calm down!" Percy interjected. "You both have different recollections of what happened. I think I know why."
After a moment of silence, the other two came to the same conclusion.
"Percie."
"Exactly." Her male counterpart nodded. "She's got some sort of secret. And I think she's found out a way to call out the darkness in someone. A spell of some sort."
"That could be catastrophic." Will said.
"Very. All the more reason to get to her before she screws something else up." Percy sighed. "I'm going to see if the fire's out yet."
"Will, we got an injured camper!" A voice shouted from outside.
"Bring them in!" The son of Apollo shouted back. Leo feebly slapped him. "Oops, sorry, Valdez."
Percy and Nico stepped out of the way so that the injured son of Hermes could be carried in.
"I'm not worth it!" Conner kept mumbling, waving his arms halfheartedly at his helpers.
"Shut up and let me work, Stoll." Will ordered. "Nico, can you get Freddie and Mitch?"
"You got it." Nico ran out of the building.
"Jackson, lie back down."
"Will, I'm fine."
"Perseus Jackson, you are my patient and you're going to lie back down in that bed or I will strap you into it." Will said calmly without looking up from the burn on Conner's side.
Percy chuckled weakly, not sure if the blond boy meant it or not, then went and laid down in the cot.
"Thank you." Will told him.
"Of course." Percy replied sarcastically.
"Alright, I'm going to have to ask you visitors to leave." Will spoke to the small crowd of Hermes kids who were watching him.
After a few loud protests and threats from the doctor, they filed out.
"Sorry, Calypso, that means you too." Will told her apologetically.
"That's fine, just tell me when you're done so I can come back in here." She said.
"I will."
As Calypso left the room, Mitch and Freddie marched in.
"What do you need done?" Freddie asked.
"Check Leo for a concussion and treat his cuts. Also, make sure none of Percy's burns are pussing or blistering badly." Will ordered. "And if others come in injured, take care of them."
Freddie turned to Leo and Mitch to Percy, starting their work without a word.
A few other campers were brought in, injured. A daughter of Aphrodite and a son of Nike had been hiding from the cleaning harpies in the woods and had been caught off guard by the flames. A son of Ares, like Conner, had been helping fight the fire and had gotten too close.
Soon Freddie, Mitch and Will were bustling back and forth, only speaking when absolutely necessary and working diligently. Nico watched them with respect. He knew he'd never be able to concentrate on something as delicate as some of this was.
"Nico, get over here and help me with this." Will called. He was standing next to Damon's cot.
The son of Hades hopped up from where he had been sitting and walked over to help. "What do you need?"
"I need to clean this but he won't sit still. Can you hold him down?" Will asked.
Nico moved to the head of the bed and grabbed the son of Ares' arms. His other leg was already strapped down, but Will apparently hadn't been able to get the arm straps on him.
"Ready, go!" Will began to dab at the burn and the burly boy grunted in pain.
"Any major casualties, Will?" Chiron walked in.
"No sir. Fire's out?"
"That it is. We'll need to discuss this later, at a counselor meeting."
"Alright." Will said, dabbing the burn again. "Almost done, Damon, almost done."
Chiron looked at the injured kids and shook his head.
"What is this world coming to."
[A/N so no one else has died...yet....or has someone? Nope, jk XD]
