Third Person POV
When Percy came to, Piper was standing above him.
"You okay?" She asked quietly.
"My head hurts like Hades, but yeah, other than that I think I'm fine. What happened to you?"
Piper looked down at her dirty clothes and bleeding arms and legs.
"Pelipa happened."
"Your darkness?"
"Yep. She was in the driver's seat for a little while, but I stuffed her in this little mental basket and I'm basically sitting on it inside my mind."
Percy chuckled and stood slowly. "Where are we?"
"No clue. I loaded you up on Blackjack and got us the Hades away from Percie and her little helper."
"Percie has a helper?"
"Surprising right? I dunno who he is, but he's a son of Hecate I think. Used this spell to pull my darkness out. He killed Lacy to do it, i think he used Lou when he did it to Leo. He kept explaining that that was how it went, someone had to die for the spell to work."
The daughter of Aphrodite had explained it calmly, but at the mention of her half sister, tears began to flow from her eyes.
Percy got to his feet slowly, groaning in pain but pushing through it. He pulled Piper into a hug and let her cry.
"I hate them!" The girl repeated over and over. "I hate them, I hate them, I hate them!"
"I know, Piper, I do too."
He didn't notice they had been flashed somewhere else until someone cleared their throat.
Percy looked up, instinctively shielding Piper from possible attackers.
"Calm down, son of Poseidon." Hecate said calmly, boredom written obviously across her face.
"What do you want?" Percy took in his surroundings. He was in the middle of the Olympian council room, glares shooting in his direction from all sides.
"The Council would like me to confirm that it was not you performing all the acts that you have been convicted of. Where is the other part of you?"
"No clue. She got away." He scowled.
While Hecate didn't seem surprised by the 'she' part, the revelation that part of his personality had just gotten up and walked away gave her a pause.
"How did you separate?"
"No clue, she just kinda appeared." Percy said slowly.
"Strange." Hecate circled him and Piper, her eyes narrowed as she examined them.
"You are fighting yours off." She said to Piper.
"I am." The daughter of Aphrodite attempted to stand tall, her cheeks still streaked with tears.
"Who activated yours?"
"What?" Percy asked. "They can be activated?"
"They have to be to act the way yours has been acting. They are a part buried deep inside you, a part that doesn't wake unless called upon by another for unspeakable deeds." Hecate turned back to Piper, approaching her swiftly and placing her hands on either side of the girl's head.
Piper whimpered, then sighed slowly. "She's gone..." She finally said.
"Not gone, simply sent back to sleep. Who awakened her?"
"Alabaster, I think his name was, Alabaster Torrington."
Percy recognized that name. "He sided against us in the Titan war. I thought he died."
"Evidently not." Piper muttered.
"Hecate, just see if the brat was in control of himself when he murdered my daughter." Zeus ordered angrily.
"He was not." She replied gravely, not even looking up. "Someone had activated his darkness and she killed Thalia."
Percy cringed at his cousin's name.
"Well who activated it? Torrington?" Poseidon demanded.
"No. Alabaster was not the instigator of this twisted game, only a player. However, it was a child of mine. Alabaster did separate Percie from Percy, it would seem, but he didn't do it properly."
"Uh, what does that mean?" Percy asked.
"You feel strange things, yes? Things that you aren't doing, maybe on injuries?"
"Yeah."
"Alabaster didn't separate you two completely. You have what is best described as an empathy link that has been toned down. You can feel her pain and she yours. She is also most likely allergic-"
"To nectar!" Percy interrupted. "She was itching at the burns when Will put nectar on mine and I could feel it!"
"Exactly. I can finish the process and separate you two completely, as I assume you intend to track her down and dispose of her." Hecate offered.
"What happens if I don't let you?"
"When you kill her, the pain would consume you and you would die as well."
The son of Poseidon seemed to ponder this for a few moments.
"Percy, Annabeth wouldn't want you to die like that." Piper said quietly.
"Please do." Percy answered Hecate.
"It would not be wise to do it here." The goddess warned.
"Use my palace." Apollo offered.
"What's the catch?" Hecate asked him.
"I get to watch." The sun god grinned. "Technically it's a healing technique, I want to see it."
"Only if Perseus allows it."
"I'm fine with it, just do it so I don't have to deal with Percie's pains anymore." Percy said slowly.
Hecate nodded and stepped forward, preparing to flash him to Apollo's mansion.
Suddenly, Percy felt a ripping pain in his side. Falling to the ground with a scream, he clutched his side and curled into a ball.
"Percy!" Piper screamed.
