' OOOOOOOW!!! ' Carlo's voice could be heard from my room.
I ran towards his room and saw that his door was open. I entered the room, finding Obi licking Carlo on his face and neck. I found it hilarious. Carlo seemed annoyed but he was laughing.
' Obi! ' I called out. Obi stopped licking Carlo, who was now on the floor. ' Why did Obi do that for?! ' Carlo asked, obviously pissed.
' Obi likes you...A LOT, Carlo. Go and take a nice warm shower. Lets go to the park. Its like 5 a.m. right now. Lets have breakfast and then lets go to the park.Great time to take a walk at the park. '
' Sounds great! I'll be right back. '
Carlo took a warm shower, letting everything go in the water. All his troubles, pains...everything. I could hear him singing from my room. Nice voice, Carlo. I joked in my mind. He sang ' Hold Each Other  by A Great Big World '. My favorite song. I sang along.

Once he was done, he carefully pulled a bathrobe from the cabinets and wore it. He walked to his room yet he did not bother to turn on the light. The scant sunlight from the windows was enough to guide his path. He wore a sweater that had a Pug on it and some jeans. After changing into his clothes, he opened the window and let the cool breeze in. He knelt beside his bed and said a short morning prayer before he sat on his bed, looking outside the window.
I also took a warm shower. I wore a sweater which had a Chihuahua on it and a pair of jeans. I put on an infinity scarf too. The cool breeze entered my room and I took a deep breath. I then left my room.

Without disturbing Carlo, I entered his room. Obi was at my feet, gazing at Carlo who was dramatically looking outside the window. I smiled then led Obi away as I shut the door. I was surprised Carlo did not even notice us. He's probably deep into his thoughts. I should leave him in his room for a while and wait downstairs. I said in my mind.

I've never seen a priest like him: quite modern, crazy and humorous. Did I really do the right thing by saving him? Tell me, my Lord. I don't know why but he's distracting. Its either that Irish or Scottish accent of his or his looks. I can't deny it, he could be the Vatican's poster boy!

I heard a soft bark. Obi looked at me quite skeptically since I stood motionless outside Carlo's door. ' Sorry Obi, I was just thinking. Come on, lets go downstairs and wait for him. ' At the kitchen, I made some warm soup. I filled two bowls with soup and put each bowl in front of two chairs.

Carlo looked at his watch and stood up then ran downstairs, finding me hugging Obi. ' Sorry for making you wait. I was daydreaming. '
' Its fine. I saw that you were deep in your thoughts. You didn't even hear me enter your room. Haha. '

The living room was adjacent to a spotless kitchen, still following the white and black motif of the apartment. Carlo led me to the dining room. It had a four-seater table with chairs that had wooden legs. We sat on two of these and ate. I pointed to his dish, already filled with the soup I made. ' I hope you like the soup. '
Carlo sat down next to me, saying grace, then pouring coffee into his cup and my cup. He looked down at the soup.
     ' Whats this? '
' Chicken soup. Hahaha. I'm sorry have you not eaten this before? ' I said.
' Long time since I had one of these. ' He replied.

Once Carlo and I were done with our food, I attached a leash to Obi's neck collar and we left the house. We boarded my car and we drove to the park. The Sun shone relentlessly but it was not hot; it was so cold. I eyed Carlo's sweater and realized we both had dogs on our sweaters.
' Hey! Both of us have dogs on our sweaters! Hahaha! Yours a Pug while mine has a Chihuahua! ' I joked.
' Hahaha. Your sweater is cuter than mine. ' He said, looking down, trying not to laugh.
     ' Don't cry, cry baby. ' I laughed.
He punched me on the shoulder and laughed. I finally have someone to talk to after a long time of loneliness at my apartment. I said in my mind.
