(TIME SKIP TO ONE WEEK AFTER REVEALING THE TRUTH TO VATICAN)

~ Pip/Allison's POV ~

Carlo woke up and fell off the bed.
' OOOOWWW! ' He screamed.
' What the- ' I said as I woke up and looked around. Carlo's scream woke me up. Dammit, Carlo. I ran towards his room, with Obi running beside me. His door hissed open, revealing me. The moment I saw him with his face on the floor, I laughed hysterically.
' Carlo. Seriously? '
' Help me, please. Pip!! '
' Alright, okay. '
I offered him my hand and helped him up.
' Did that hurt? Like, so badly? '
' Yeah. Headache, oww. '
' Wait. '
I stepped out of his room and went downstairs. I turned on the lights and went to the kitchen. I opened the fridge, grabbed an ice pack, and ran back to his room. He laid on his bed with his hands on his forehead. I sat next to him.
' Here, take this. ' I said, handing him the ice pack.
' Thanks, Pip. ' He placed the ice pack on his forehead.
' It is your first day of trials, later. '
' Yeah... '
' Are you ready? '
' Yeah. Please be there, Pip. ' He said, holding my hand.
' I will. Don't worry. '
He was on the brink of tears. Not...again. I sighed. I called for Obi.
' Obi! Come here girl! '
She ran towards me and I let go of Carlo's hand. I patted her on the head and whispered something into her ear.
' What are you telling her, Pip? '
I ignored Carlo's question and backed away once I have finished what I wanted to tell Obi.
Obi ran towards him and licked him relentlessly. I'm gonna miss you when you're gone, Pat-Car.

~ 3rd Person POV ~

The great doors were opened for a highly publicized trial involving a complex plot from within the Vatican itself. Never had it been used as a court before. The doors flung open. Two Swiss guards ushered in first. Next, the most familiar face in the world to all the people inside. Michaelangelo's painted ceiling and Raphael's tapestries must have been appalled to see the clergyman utilize the room for this purpose.

Rays of sunlight beamed from the small windows near the roof. As everyone looked at the man who was to bathed by this radiance, they could not imagine the creature walking down the aisle with his head down would be capable of unimaginable sin.
His hair was combed back. His spikes were removed, allowing everyone to recognize him. He wore a black cassock with a small rosary.

' You don't deserve to wear that! ' A stranger shouted.

He was unmistakable. The sacred area was now accessible to the media, with its representative live footage. They were allowed inside, as long as they would just tape the proceedings and not intervene with the case. No questions; nothing.

Carlo walked down the aisle with his head down, avoiding to make eye contact with anyone. Allison stood near where he was supposed to sit, watching him closely. Good luck, Carlo. May God be with you. She said in her mind. Carlo looked up to see Pip. Thank goodness, you're here, Pip. He said in his mind and smiled at her. People around Allison looked at her with much curiosity. Cameras were everywhere. All angles of Carlo were scrutinized.

Atop the steps, was a long table. The Pope sat in the middle, being the highest judge. Two others sat beside him, an auditor and accessor. The other judges sat at opposite sides of the long table.
Allison had a friend that was a lawyer. His name was Hayden. Carlo chose him as his lawyer since he was a friend of Allison.
Carlo sat down next to Hayden on the front seats. A wooden table stood before them. Carlo laid his hands on the table and clenched his fists. Hayden stared at him.
' You look great, Father. '
' Thank you. '
' Do not worry, Father. I am here to help. '
' Thank you...again. '
The time has come. The trials has begun.

~ Pip/Allison's POV ~

I stared longingly at Carlo. My Lord, please help him. People were throwing rotten vegetables at him; often missing but some hit other people. I could not help myself but shouted.
' Stop throwing things at him! He is trying to change! Can't all of you see that?! If God can forgive us for our sins, then we don't have the right not to forgive him! '
People stared at me. The Pope smiled and nodded. At least He agrees...
' Thank you for that, Allison... '
' Thank you, Pip. '
The Pope and Carlo said at the same time.
It seemed like I took the attention away from Carlo and brought it to myself. Photographers took endless amounts of pictures. Flashes here and there. My eyes started to hurt so I covered my eyes with my hands. I could hear two sets of footsteps running towards me. Both growing louder, step by step. I felt two hands land on my shoulder.
' Allison! Are you okay? ' Both of them said together.
My eyes were still covered with my hands. I could recognize the voices. It was Thomas and Nicole.
I kept my eyes closed but removed my hands from my face.
' Yes, I'm okay. My eyes...hurt. '
' Do you want to go out of the room for a while? ' Nicole asked.
' No. I promised Carlo that I will stay here with him. I can't leave. '
' I understand. '
Once my eyes felt a little bit better, I gently opened them. I stared at Carlo as he clenched his fists whilst he listened to what the Pope was saying.
Paralyzed with fear, I could not understand whatever the Pope was saying. In my mind, it sounded like someone who had a disability to speak clearly.
' Where is His Holy Hotness? ' Nicole asked, trying to cheer me up.
' Over there. ' I said, pointing at Carlo.
He turned to face us. His eyes shining as if they were somehow fueled by the mysteries of the universe.
' He seems worried, yet angry. He's probably pissed off by the people who were throwing rotten food at him a while ago. Thanks to you, Allison. ' Thomas beamed.
   ' True. ' Nicole added.
' When is this going to end? ' I asked, impatiently.
' Soon. ' Thomas said, staring at Carlo.

The first trial was long and hard; to watch. It was hard to watch Carlo being asked a lot of questions that could make or break him. Throughout the first trial, Carlo was at the verge of tears. His hands holding a rosary tightly, on the desk, eyes that were looking aimlessly, everywhere, and his head tilted down, stood out to everyone.
My heart thumped furiously as I waited for it to end - the trial to end.
In a blink of an eye, the whole world went black.
